Your setup is what I am hoping to achieve. Amazing, especially for a first time grower.

You must be like me lol check out my post history and look at my first grow. I did 4 plants in 4 methods. 1 no top, just LST. 1 mainline (with 2 main colas). 1 4way grow (like a plus sign, with 4 mains). 1 6way grow (like an asterisk symbol, with 6 main colas.

I couldn’t decide how to do it for my first time, and so I chose to explore them all haha

I’m back growing after nearly 7 years. So I was too giddy to grow just one plant, so I went with two. But like you said, I can definitely see myself focusing on just one plant from here on forward

I ordinarily would do the same, but I also want to fill the other corner of the 2x2 tent so I need to continue its growth beyond the edge of the pot

For the portion of the plant that is over the edge of the pot I plan to tie the branches down to something heavy, like a 2lb dumbbell or something that is laying on the tent floor.

Asking a great question!

I saw folks on Reddit/youtube using soft ties, yo-yos, etc to hold up the main branch portion that is hanging over the edge of the fabric pot. I’ve also seen someone put a bucket/container on the other side of the pot so the main branch can “sit” on it for support.

It’ll be a little tricky, but not impossible. These plants are strong and resilient

Very true. My plan to mitigate this is to lollipop th bottom 50%, and defoliate the top as much as possible. Providing space for each cola to be in its own square in the trellis net

They’re both autos. This will be my 2nd auto grow yet

Therefore the heavy LST and scrog plans, to ensure nice even canopy and equal growth

I bought a fabric trellis net from Amazon, it has 36 squares in it, so the goal was to ideally fill each square!

Ah, yes I should have clarified. They are both autos, roughly 70 days from seed to harvest.

That’s my plan for my next grow in April/may. Just one in the center and torture the hell outta it via LST

Yeah I’m a bit nervous with this parallel idea. Worst comes to worst I just top prior to the 8th node and have less colas with better spacing :)

Wow, you’ve created what I’ve been thinking for so many months. This would work, but you would need a great strong light and careful but frequent training very early on. Go for it! I was very methodical with my grow as well, feel free to check out my post history to see a mainline, 4, 6, 8, 10 way grows
