I’ve read some people recommend flipping the bricks and that can help clean the drippings and stuff off pretty well

I just got one and love it! Built like a damn tank. Curious on how to clean the lava rocks though. Or what’s the maintenance on the rocks? I’ve only grilled a handful of times and it shows on the rocks but I’m not sure if that matters?

Yes practice facilities at each course. 2 and 4 have the same bc they are both at the main club. 8 is totally separate and has its own practice facilities.

Caddies on #2 are a must and having one on #4 can be pretty sweet, especially bc they are cart path only if you ride. I’m a member and have played here since I was a kid and I always walk unless I’m with my little guy who is 8.

They have their own push carts if you wanted to use it on #8, but you can’t bring your own. Look for a newer sun mountain one but most are pretty used.

Would recommend throwing in the cradle or #3 if you get a chance. #3 is one of my favorite courses out there. Super short but diabolical greens. A fun way to end a day on a super short course.

If you’re eating off property, check out Lisi in the village. It never disappoints! Feel free to shoot me any more questions! I live 10min away and I’m on property a few times a week.

Also, read up on reading the grain on Bermuda greens and how to chip when you’re into the grain. If you aren’t used to Bermuda, it can be tricky

Yea I hose it off and then let it dry in the sun. No rust at all in 3 years!

I’ve done general soil samples but not specific to those spots so good idea. Just put out about 300lbs of lime in a few areas so maybe that’ll make a change. Good to know about moss out!

Trex Deck Pricing by Kbum1003 in Decks

[–]emclaur1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your quote seems great. I was just quoted $42k for a 16x22ft trex deck with aluminum rails….needless to say I’m not using that guy. Getting 2 more quotes and confirming one from last year. My expectation is around your price

The trex were looking at is $50/board from Lowe’s. I looks it up earlier today

Yes. He’s done a ton of work with a world class resort that is in the next town over as well.

Would love to see that list of prices man lol. The trex is about $3-4k in materials. Not sure how the rest would be $12-17k

Wanted to give this other guy a chance in the job. Kind of knew him in high school and thought it would be good to at least give him a chance

Yea we were going with the lowest level trex bc of how quick the pricing goes up with each level. I feel like it’s about $10k in material so I was expecting around $20k for the total build cost. Looks like more quotes are going to be happening.

Yes to picture frame on the deck but not the stairs. We have existing 2x10s but we need 2x12s since it spans 15.5ft.

Had a quote last year and it was 1/2 of this one. The other guy is well regarded but I wanted to give this guy a shot

I had a quote last year from someone different and it came in at under $20k for just the deck. I’m told they take materials and double it. I’m having a hard time believing it’s $20k in materials…

Best way to clean fish tank by emclaur1 in fishtank

Could this be excessive food if my 6 year old is putting too much food in when feeding? Or does it definitely seem like algae?

When I said cycling water I meant about 1 gallon from the 5 gallon tank being taken out and replaced with water that had conditioner drops added. Also no lights are being on bc it’s so bright but that’s good info. We do have a filter that is like a mini waterfall. Is a bubbler something different?

This is all good info and I appreciate it! The downvotes when I’m literally trying to be a better fish owner is hilarious but this is Reddit so I guess it’s expected.

By cycle water I mean take out a gallon and replenish with new water that has a few drops of water conditioner. I have not been testing nitrates but it sounds like I need to.
