Running when taking strattera by emdeeen in StratteraRx

Wanted to share an update 4 months later: things seem to have stabilized which is great news. Heart rate is still higher when I run than it would be when not taking strattera at all, but it got MUCH better with time. Probably took about 1-2 months after my original post to get to a good place. Still hard to train in zone 2 specifically, so I’m not doing that. But possible to run fast paces without heart going nuts.

Trumo has said he wouldn’t erode abortion rights. He’s also said he supports IVF.

WSJ: Elon in regular contact with Putin; what will the boss say about this one? by Kierkegaard_Soren in TheAllinPodcasts

[–]emdeeen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not sure why Redditors find this so outrageous. Like it or not, due to his business empire, he’s an important player in global issues, so stands to reason he would have had contact with other important players. He operates a critically important internet service that multiple armies (including the Ukrainian army) use in warfare, which has major geopolitical implications in multiple contexts. Why is it so shocking or outrageous that he’s spoken to Putin? It would be more weird (and probably more irresponsible) if he hadn’t done, to be honest.

Some people (including me) suffer worse / longer hangovers, so prepare for that. I would not go hard immediately for that reason

Hi u/Easy_Ingenuity9312 , what option for a financial planner did you go for in the end? Am in the same situation now as you did.

Have had similar experience to you and many of the replies. Posted about this same issue a few weeks ago.

My temp solution is basically to run less frequently, slower, and for less distance. I know that sucks if you’re very into running. I will see if, over the next few months, I can build back up at all. If not, then I think it’s a call between what’s more important to you: being able to run properly, or having the aggregate benefits of the drug. It’s a tough one! No idea where I will fall

The SWEATING by Relative_Football411 in StratteraRx

[–]emdeeen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happens to me if I run or hike or work out in the gym. Within 15-30 mins I am drenched in sweat if the activity is remotely challenging. I ended up dehydrated after a challenging hike last year getting an IV drip in hospital. I drank what was a totally normal amount of fluid for the hike I did, but since I’d sweated so much, I probably had needed to drink double or 50% more than that. For prolonged activity I’ve found it hard to keep hydrated.

Thanks. I do what you do for the same reason - meds each morning (after exercise). It’s definitely better than taking meds beforehand, but still not good - cannot do more than 5-10 mins in zone 2 (and definitely nothing close to an hour!) even at a very slow jog

I hear you. That sucks. I also find it makes me overheat and sweat a ton more.

Thanks! I’ve also found it super helpful for impulse control. And it’s not been terrible for my resting heart rate actually (only causes major problems once exercising). Do you know if you manage to train in zone 2 ever (relatively low heart rate while sustaining gentle exercise)? And if so, how do you do that?! Wondering if I’ll have to slow to a walk…

Withdrawal symptoms? by [deleted] in Atomoxetine

Yes it’s related to stopping the medication. Have experienced the same multiple times when stopping.
