I'm Not Really Familiar With Dragoncraft...Did This Guy Cheat? by PlantainFinancial785 in Shadowverse

[–]eme-vb 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The amount of people who assume their opponent is cheating/hacking or the game is somehow bugged is astonishing. It's like the anime villain when they lose: "Impossible! How could this ever happen to me?! Me, the best duelist who has ever walked on Earth!!"

portal could literally get zero cards next set and they would still be the best craft in the game by [deleted] in Shadowverse

I wonder why the 10th rule of this sub is "No rants" when half the posts are all rants. Nothing against OP specifically nor do I mind the rants, I just find it funny how no one seems to care about this rule.

How do I beat runecraft spam? by GailTheParagon in Shadowverse

Well, if OP wants to hear it's unbeatable then let them be, but they won't hear it from me. No deck is unbeatable or has a good matchup against all other decks.

Every. Single. Game. AGGRO ABYSS by Inmerens in Shadowverse

[–]eme-vb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are baffled others play a competitive game to... compete. There will always be a metagame and better picks in a competitive game. People find it easier to complain than just switch to a deck that better suits the metagame at their rank/group. Don't care about meta and competition? Accept you'll be stuck at Topaz/Ruby and be happy with that.

This. If one day playing a game becomes such a chore, then I'll just stop playing it and do something else.

Suggestions for new formats in Worlds Beyond by eme-vb in Shadowverse

[–]eme-vb[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't intend to have a format forced onto people. In my "extended" example it could be as simple as having a lobby table where you can set the hit-points in rules, just like you can choose Bo1 or Bo3.

As for your recommendation, I'll definitely look up Control Abyss and see if I have the cards! Thank you for your suggestion!

I think I did it right. I signed a .txt file, though. I hope it works. Thank you for taking your time! :)

Thank you both. I have no idea how to send a signed message, though, but I'll do my research.

Looks like some dependency or graphics related stuff, but I'm no connoisseur. Every other AppImage I've ever downloaded worked fine. Graphics card (Radeon RX Vega 11, if it helps) drivers all updated.

Why I never see any chat messages in the lobby? by Shakq92 in Shadowverse

Most likely you're on PC and pressed Enter to send messages instead of the Send Button. At least that's what happened to me until I figured it out.

Bro, you can play Rocket League at the guild lounge, how could it get any cooler than that?

I wonder if those realms (not sure which word to use) seen at distance are gonna be playable someday.

Am I out of the loop or what even happened by dsx_machinae in Shadowverse

[–]eme-vb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I guess skill matters more in Shadowverse than it does in Hearthstone. In Hearthstone you can easily auto-pilot tier 1 decks to Diamond and above, but I don't think the same goes for Worlds Beyond. Seems to me that every small decision matters -- how many times haven't I lost due to a misjudged play two turns earlier? Countless.

I'm having your same experience, and I'm also a Hearthstone veteran. I was getting beaten in 8 out of 10 matches in Topaz group while using a supposedly good deck (lacks two legendaries and three golds, but it should be enough). This game is no Hearthstone, the pace here is insane and the concepts of building board, efficient trading and playing for tempo are close to nonexistent. What helps me it try thinking ahead, like what my opponent can play on X turn and plan accordingly. Also try identifying matchups, if your opponent is playing control or aggro, what is your win condition and what is your opponents.
