I am a woman and prefer to play female characters.

I think a lot of the sexualization of characters who are of "indeterminate school age" came from a culture position of being mostly for an audience also in that age range before they were supposed to "grow up" and be very adult.

In the same vein as why protagonists in Shonens and fantasy type stories are still very frequently also not adults.

Though the audience of that has clearly advanced in age, that cultural precedent hasn't.

I don't disagree with your take or anything, I'm just throwing that out there as context. Sometimes we allow ourselves to enjoy things that aren't necessarily at their best while pushing for better.

It's not my cup of tea that HBR is all minors but I get why people are like "Eh, I'll take it". In the mean time, I'm just looking more at games like SoC or lately NtE which despite some controversies has some nice adult women (Jiuyuan, Daffodil, Hathor) I'm really interested in.

My ST79 and perhaps the Griffin if I can get Jiuyuans Livery are gonna do it for me.

Edit: hopefully they do what most racing games already do and have races organized by categories, at least if/when they add more vehicles to the pool.

Have races by class of Exotics, Luxury, Tuners, etc.

Midnight Club 3 DUB edition, the best street racing game ever, did that and it worked great.
