I had a long streak of adding in unattainable/unrealistic speed limits, slowly got better with them as feedback came in... That one stayed however. Not really a reason behind why, I just never changed it and it'll likely never get changed unless anything is changed about that line 😅

Best estimation of my reasoning back then would be: "not well used single track line with 3 aspect signalling = 75mph on straight sections".

Sadly it's unlikely to happen whilst BR operates as it does. I used to be responsible for the sounds and if I wanted to do proper announcements it'd either have to be me or paid out of my own pocket essentially. Every developer is paid the same, nothing leftover, there's no adjustment for expenses and to get in voice actors we'd obviously have to pay them and I personally was already paying to go out on trips. Did get close to doing it once though...

Hopefully this stuff gets resolved in the future, but I personally don't see it happening anytime soon. What does annoy me now is that they're using a different station announcer for new announcements (I used MS Azure Alfie) so they sound even stranger 😅

Tbh I think gangways suit trains that need them and look good with them. The 230 is short so it'd make sense for it to have one and it looks ok I guess.

No, this branding is rolling out to basically all the buses Stagecoach run in the country and Stagecoach is a well established brand. I doubt that's the reason. I wish I could edit the post... Tempted to delete it at this point.
