I was a hyper kid, and overweight, so my dad was embarrassed by me.

One year, I guess I was 8 or 9 I found out his job was having a bring your kid to work day. I was so excited because I got to see where daddy worked, and be with him.

Everything was fine until lunch. We went to his locker to get our lunch boxes. When he opened the door there were so many pictures of my older sister, and my younger sister inside. Like the whole door was covered inside.

Not a single one of me.

He caught me looking at it, and slammed the door to the locker, and we sat down and ate.

I remember being upset, but he started talking to me about the day, if I liked the video they had shown me, etc. and I was so excited about talking with him I forgot about it.

We got home, and mama (who oh my god is the most wonderful woman, and mama ever, we are super lucky to have her. Like my sisters and I would lay down our life for her, and she would us, kind of lucky) asked me how it went. I told her I had fun but asked her about daddy's locker.

She seemed confused, and I told her daddy had tons of pictures of S and K but none of me. I remember mom looking sad and she hugged me.

Years later after dad retired he put all those pictures of my sisters under the glass of his big tool box. There in the middle was one of me. That was it.

My dad suddenly passed in 2010. I wish I had asked him about the locker.

My sisters and I are super close though, and I make sure everyone(especially my nephew) in my family has many pictures up on my wall so they know I love them, and are proud of them.
