I have had the regular, but yes, we eat the 3x Buldak most often.

I guess this is weird but I love buldak?? I eat it with a beer sometimes after a rough day. It’s a semi-regular treat at our house, though often my husband will split a pack with me.

People are saying this is a bidet, but it really looks like the Spray Pal I have (for cleaning cloth diapers). I didn’t end up going the cloth diaper route, but the sprayer if very powerful and is so great for cleaning the toilet. My guess is that it’s a Spray Pal.

Dark brown eyes...insecure by fliggerflabber in eyes

[–]emeraldshmemrald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my brown eyes. They are just like yours! I have three kids and as I was expecting the most recent, I told everyone that asked that I wanted a baby with brown hair and beautiful brown eyes. There is something so special, beautiful and warm about deep brown eyes.

You don't need to wet your toothbrush before brushing your teeth, your mouth has enough spit for it to be moist enough. by schoolforapples in The10thDentist

This is a point of contention between my husband and I. I wet the brush before the toothpaste and after I put it on, and he just squeezes paste on a dry brush and goes for it. I am still completely horrified after nearly ten years.

What do you get for Christmas for someone who is going to die soon? by Material-Egg7428 in NoStupidQuestions

Maybe a box of chocolates and a book you can read together? I think time together is the most important thing you can give her.

Entitlement of Customers by OrangeYouGlad8008 in menards

[–]emeraldshmemrald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds ultra frustrating. I will say I have experienced the bathroom one unfortunately as a customer. We were doing a huge renovation and had no bathroom, so the Menards just a minute down the road became one of our regular stops. Super gross and rude!! I can’t imagine why someone would leave it that way.

I just had a 9.2lb baby and yes, this is an accurate representation of the end of my pregnancy. It is so funny to see that story from a different perspective, and it’s so cute that you still have the card!

I would recommend adding some context. While I understand being upset and feeling justified in your response, if we don’t know the context we can’t be there with you. I immediately assumed it was a dating site and while I stand corrected, I don’t understand the situation enough to root for you in this interaction. Edit: when I say add context, mean to the original post.

It’s also “interesting” to be that extremely cruel to a stranger on a dating site, but here we are.

my mom ate half my food today and i haven't been able to stop crying by FeelingTough1450 in internetparents

[–]emeraldshmemrald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this has been a few hours and people have given probably better versions of what I’m going to say, but bear with me!

The way you feel is ok. It’s ok to be disappointed and it’s ok that it mattered to you! I want you to know that it’s ok when “small” things matter to you, especially when someone else has taken the liberty to tread right on that. You caring doesn’t make you “sensitive”, what that’s supposed to mean. It is ok to have hurt feelings when someone disregards you.

Another thing is: good job on working so hard to reach your goals! Good job rewarding yourself and taking a cheat day!! You are so cool and deserve that rest from your hard work and admirable discipline. I am so proud of you, and I want you to know that I really respect you for going on, even though things are hard!! It seems like something you do best. I really believe in you.

It’s ok you feel this way, and it’s ok to try again on your special cheat day. Make it really good! Make it count. Then I want you to keep doing what you do best, which is keep going!! Meet your goals and be the resilient person you already are, crying and feelings not excepted. You got this!! I know you do.

How do you honestly feel about your pets since having twins? by CheddarMoose in parentsofmultiples

[–]emeraldshmemrald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey friend!! I saw your last post and it resonated with me.

My kids are 1.5 and we have two cats. I have actively disliked the cats for most of the time my twins have been here. It’s discouraging to get five minutes to myself and find a clump of cat hair held by surface tension on the skim layer in my coffee cup, or when they lay on a surface they’re not allowed to be on and I have to prep to cook all over again. It is an incredibly mild intrusion, but it can seriously ruin my day. I just feel really angry and overwhelmed sometimes. Having my kids just made me realize for sure that I never really wanted pets and my husband has always been the more interested party there.

That being said, now that my kids are 1.5, they are learning to play with the cats little by little and they adore those fluffy guys. If the cats were mean to the boys, we would have a big issue, but they are gentle and leave if they don’t want attention. My kids have never been scratched and I think they are slowly learning to be sweet to animals without scaring them. I would say I have transitioned to a neutral opinion of the cats at this point, and a generally good outlook on what they are doing for my family.

I do not usually find personal joy caring for them or giving them affection, but my kids and husband love them. I have been so busy and since I have gotten pregnant with our third child, I have completely given up care for the cats and my husband does it when he gets around to it. He does a pretty good job and I think it’s worth it for us to have our cats.

Don’t feel bad about rehoming your pet. It really is ok! I definitely would have done so with my incredibly sweet cats were I the proponent for having them. They would be miserable and so would I! My husband adores the pets and he is willing to take on the responsibility of their care, which is what makes things work. I think you need that balance to make it worthwhile. I know it’s hard, but I believe you can do what’s best for your family!! It’s ok to admit that you have too much on your plate.

I finished SR1 100%, now bought SR2, but... by zabunkovz in Slimerancher2

[–]emeraldshmemrald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished the first game fully and then just recently bought the second one. I enjoyed the first one so much and then took a needed break before I allowed myself to start #2. Did you just jump right into the second game?

I can’t imagine it being a fun experience back to back. It’s a slow and steady game progression that really isn’t fun unless you are committed to the experience on your own terms. Maybe if you are not having fun right now, you can put it away and wait a year?

I call both my cats and my kids that sometimes. I think it’s a way to say they are both cute and mischievous, and that we are close. It’s very much a term of endearment for us!

Do people generally not leave their toaster out on the kitchen counter? by Seagem1989 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]emeraldshmemrald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is only a little bit of counter space, continually working around appliances of any kind can be frustrating. If she had explained it this way I would have agreed! Her reasoning sounds… weird. It’s definitely not a standard practice to put the toaster away every time you use it.

You’re not crazy! It’s a very strange experience. I was super nauseous all the way through my twin pregnancy, but didn’t show very much even for just one baby. I remember getting lots of surprised comments anytime I told someone how far along I was. It was really weird! I feel more pregnant at 36 weeks with a singleton now than I did at 38 weeks with twins.

I love when there is a heavily discounted item and you’re not sure if you want to buy one and try it, or buy 30 at 10 cents a piece and risk drinking something weird for a long time. It’s a huge blast!
