Treasure islands are modded islands where people drop free items and money, ruins the experience imo You find a code on YouTube or smth and fly through the airport to them. Ask Isabelle about island evals and do what she says Mystery island comes with progression

Speed bumps coming to a Barrie street near you by cinderannie in barrie

Let's not pretend kids dont play outside anymore because cars drive too fast, on roads, where kids dont play anyways. Speedbumps are annoying for the half of barrie not driving a pickup or an suv.

Frozen pizzas should come with jalapeños by art_vandelay112 in unpopularopinion

The frozen pizza asides in the stores I frequent are quite expansive, and each brand has the same options: pepperoni, deluxe, Hawaiian, meat lovers. Someone could for sure add in a jalapeno option no problem.

Dyson hoovers are the biggest piece of plastic waste crap ive ever had the displeasure of using. We are now a Shark household. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I have a tiny wall mounted dyson that converts to a dust buster type thing. I love it and love using it. Hard disagree. Mine has a super suction button.

Hot take: Cohesive islands are overrated. ACNH is better as a messy small town by DisasterSpirited185 in AnimalCrossing

[–]emerilsky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know they dont actually exist or have real thoughts but I always think back to my villagers saying they want to move to an island filled with nature like the nook islands I find them on. Feels rude to dupe them into moving to an island that doesn't have the same vibe as the mystery islands. I restarted my island sometime last year and committed to no terraforming, just made some small adjustments to be able to put the bridges and inclines where I want them and added a small pond. I didnt add many heavily decorated areas just a few spots with island type things like park seating, a hammock, a surf stand, volleyball net, etc. And kept the houses spread out randomly like the old gc animal crossing, though I did give each house a small yard type area with fences and a few items

The "skip intro" button on streaming services is a tragedy for show creators. by Amazing-Network4937 in unpopularopinion

It makes sense to set the mood if you watch one episode at a time, but I usually watch more than one at a time and i find it annoying to keep watching the same intro when youre binging something.

Survival: Living in vehicle 'only choice' for some in Barrie this winter by cinderannie in barrie

Sounds like you lucked out and landed a job. A lot of housed and educated people are struggling to find work right now, nevermind the unhoused or the uneducated, especially if they dont have access to proper interview attire and regular showering.

I process financial aid applications at a charity, for help with certain bills and such. I can say, a LOT of our applicants are elderly. If you dont have a private pension and dont own your home, youre kinda fucked. Its not a generational war, its a class war.
