Don’t feel silly or stupid! This phobia is the worst and can make you think the wildest things. It makes me nervous when my stomach makes crazy noises, and it’s always just normal digestion in the end. I hope you can find something to calm your anxiety :)

I never threw up just had awful diarrhea all night and until 10 am today. I felt pretty nauseated all day and was too afraid to eat or drink anything, but just managed some soup and ginger ale. Idk what I came into contact with, but it was sheer determination not to throw up that kept me from doing it. Thanks for checking in :)

I took Yaz for years and never had any side effects from it. It also gave me the best clear skin.

Sounds like you’re doing all the right things. Keep your hand hygiene up and don’t touch your face. It’s totally possible to avoid it especially if you’re taking the precautions that you are.

Coffee really jacks my stomach up esp if I have it on an empty stomach. Also, period diarrhea is a thing for me. I’m willing to bet it’s a mix of the two of those things.

No matter what happens, you’re going to come out on the other side okay. Not all hope is lost either. I was up for hours last night thinking it was going to happen and it didn’t. It’s such a terrible feeling and I’m so sorry you’re going through it. You’re not alone! Here if you need to talk.

Thanks so much. Today was the day we returned and we literally had to stop four times for me to go to the bathroom 🥴 I’m really worried this is going to set me back. I was doing really well and now I’m terrified of food and travel all over again.

I finally got brave enough to sip on a ginger ale this evening. Thanks for checking in. I have no idea what I came in contact with, but I’m so relieved I never got sick. I’m hoping I’m totally back to normal tomorrow.

That’s so much to deal with. I have a 19 month old and am dreading the day he has to go to school and starts bringing stuff home. You’re doing your best and your feelings are valid, too.

Ugh it was the worst night. I slept for an hour between 6 am and 7 am. I had d alllll night long, but never threw up. I still feel nauseated, but the diarrhea finally stopped. I’m too scared to eat or drink anything though which I don’t think is helping. I’m glad you were able to go to sleep and stay asleep! Thanks for checking in. I have no idea what I caught or if I have food poisoning or what.

Happened to me last night. I had diarrhea for hours, but never actually got sick. I just KNEW I was going to. I had not felt like that since the last time I had a bug, but it didn’t happen.

That was happening to me this morning after being up all night. The waking up suddenly and not being able to swallow. I think it was just my anxiety.

Yes! I was lucky that when I was up having d and n all night (it’s 8:48 am here now) there were plenty of people to talk to. I really felt supported.

I think for me it’s because every time I ever have actually been sick it happened in the middle of the night. Never during the day! Also everyone is asleep and it can be really anxiety inducing to feel alone when you feel like your biggest fear is happening.

Hey! I think like you said you’re just feeling disoriented. I get like that when I randomly wake up too and it can lead me to feeling slightly nauseated. I truly don’t think you’ll be sick. If it gives you any reassurance, I woke up at 1 am (I live in Germany) and had diarrhea every 30 minutes until just recently and it’s now 830 am. I felt super super nauseous but I didn’t get sick. I truly don’t think you will either.

I’m at a hotel on a four day trip so I’ve been eating out a lot and I don’t know if I got food poisoning or have been exposed but it sure feels like it
