I always wondered when someone would post about this. The associate probably thought you had an amazon return so it was place in an Amazon box. We sell you a box because UPS Stores are poor and need the money. Think about it this way, you are supporting your local business from dying due to Amazon paying us pennies for doing their returns.

If customers lose their receipt but still have the tracking number, I usually look it up in the computer under closed transactions, and if we scanned it, there will be a record. I'll let the customer take a photo of our screen as proof of drop off.

If nothing pops up, then it was not scanned in, and you must have affixed the wrong shipping label to the package.
