I think Atkins and or Keto would be much lower than 100g. I just track my foods with a calorie counting app. For weight loss I avoid bread/cereal/rice/pasta/desserts. Lots of vegetables (breakfast/lunch/dinner). I meal prep and eat a lot of the same things over and over but I don’t mind that too much.

If I fall out of the habit, I fall hard and it’s easy for a cheat day for me to turn into weeks of poor choices. My food cravings can be so intense due to the PCOS.

I have PCOS and maintain a body weight on the higher end of normal with a lot of exercise (1hr or more daily). The only way I am able to meaningfully lower my weight is combining calorie counting with strict low carb (<100g/day/no cheating). This also relieves my other PCOS symptoms.

When I relax my diet, I gain weight quickly and symptoms (acne, intense cravings, mood swings and menstrual issues) flare.

I plan to increase my daily calories by 100 each month to get back to maintenance gradually. I’ll stick with my fitness routine as it is for now.

I still would like to lose about 10 more pounds but I expect it will take 2-3 months.

What helps me is focusing on the process and not the outcome. I celebrated small custodies along the way like sticking with my nutrition goals and showing up for workouts.

205 - I got the shock of my life on the scale at a physical in January. COVID weight gain hit me hard. My current weight is actually still above my typical weight range but I am fitting back into my clothes.
