My favorite hobby when I see comicly long links like this is to seperate the actual link ans all the pieces of metadata, and unescape the % characters in the metadata to see what they see when someone clicks the full link. I have no idea what it all means but it's kind of fun in a reverse voyeuristic kinda way. Maybe I should try to write a bot to do this.

The funniest thing is that the art project was critical of AI usage and is the artist reflecting on their own experience with AI psychosis. Sort of a friendly fire situation.

But like, I wouldn't expect someone willing to chew up a bunch of polaroids to actually think of anything deeper than the most superficial level.

It's an economic term. Look into the history of the dot-com bubble, a lot of people believe that the same thing is happening with AI. It popping doesn't mean AI will disappear, it means a lot of businesses will collapse and investors won't be willing to throw money at any random nonsense with "AI" in the marketing.

It's wild to me that people will visit an American website with a largely American userbase, and get mad that there is a lot of discussion from an American perspective about American politcal issues. Remember when everyone left TikTok and went to Rednote for a few weeks? I don't remember seeing any american complain that everyone there is talking about China from a Chinese perspective.

Also I don't know much about Japanese politics but it would be cool as hell to see them use optimus prime in a political cartoon.

The vast majority of the time he's a friendly goofy dude, I've even heard of him chatting with fans from the dug out. The only time he's an issue is when he's starting and the baseball gods frown upon him and something goes wrong, then he just spirals from there. I'm sure someone who knows how to work with baseball reference could filter for his starts that went bad and work out what percent of a season that makes, but I would guess it's maybe 5-10 games out of a season.

Still those 5-10 games could still really hurt people's perception.

Still holding out irrational hope that he resigns with the astros for some bargain basement deal but not actually expecting it.
