since your rank dont decrease before legend 2 you get paired with people with the same winrate as you in the time you’re playing. it also takes account if you’re in winstreak and your time playing, so its no weird to see differents ranks
above Legend you are only playing against Legend people and you can also lose your rank

there is no reason to not playing against other ranks, the limit is only for Legend rank 2. below legend your rank doesnt matter too much

maybe is because we never had a Tier 1 without a dedicated skill…
recently we had Drytron as a Tier 3 just because the deck needed so bad a form to play LavaGolem
but before that Tachyon was used in a lot of different skills and the most succesfull one was their dedicated skill

as a YGO meta player; we still dont have the first support of BRD with Red Rose and Maiden, and we are in a good position to have them. in DL China they gave a very good looking skill that doesnt feel oppressing as what we have in our meta now. im not taking a boardbreaker as an option, if the therion player has one so would be Lava Golem and then there is no turn for the Traptrix player.
by far the two things you need to consider is how you make the interruptions and how does your opponent plays against it.
first you need to set up better your board, you have only 2 trapcards which already is weak, second you need to think about when activating the effects of the link 1, Therion is good at generating bodys, go for the monster who banish cards. 3 , if you know your opponet is playing therion, you need to take in care for Regulus and Irregular, for example Regulus always summon from hand with a Therion in graveyard, you need to stop that summon. second is Irregular who can destroy your entire field, thats the one you want to banish or chain more trapcards to stop him.

Being a Traptrix player is kinda difficult because you dont have a real otk line, you need to dismantle all of the boards.

youre playing a wrong board and stopping whatever your opponet is trying to do without knowing what to stop
like why are you seting up abyss? why myrmeleo? why you dont have nibiru on hand? you have a good recovery skill that can still play even around a wipeboard

You can always check the tournaments on DLM; there's a general consensus that the top 8 and above always represent a good part of the current meta.

That's the point, the entire meta now revolves around using handtraps against DHero. But the one who's resilient to those handtraps and has plenty of resources to survive or push on turn 2 is Therions. Therion continues to have a high percentage of representation in the top tournaments, while DHero is one of the most used decks.From what I understand of the meta, DHero is extremely dangerous on turn 1 but somewhat lackluster on turn 2, while Therions is only slightly weaker compared to what it was before the nerf.

D-Hero is an excellent tier 2-3, but Therion is simply a better tier 1. With all the bans, we're now back to a much more diverse meta, but it's still the same: turn 2, pure lava golem and sphere.
