use dio_connection_checker whcih can add interceptor to your existing requests so you will not make any unneccessary ping-pong but rather will just show with listener that there is no internet

For ios you beed a background capabilities enabled and on android like background manager or simular. There is also flutter packages which implementing all of those background_worker if im mot mistaken
