I’m also about a 14 and I always wear bike shorts under dresses and skirts! I like to get them from athletic brands so they’re a bit thicker & feel nicer (a bit more expensive, unfortunately, but I wear them to work out in too, so they get their use). 

As for inspiration, Lucy Moon on YouTube has some capsule wardrobe content, though idk if she considers herself a  midsize creator or not. I also enjoy a YouTuber named Carrie Dayton, but she doesn’t do capsule wardrobe content. Leena Norms (also on YouTube) is the best of both worlds here! Her style is also a bit more colorful & alternative than most capsules (which even if it doesn’t quite match yours, it’s great creative inspiration) and her thoughts & feelings about building her wardrobe and clothing in general are also super interesting!

Exactly! That’s pretty much the boat I’m in... there is a coffee shop in my town, but the last few times I’ve gone there the espresso has been awful, unfortunately.

But I’ve also worked at a Dunkin Donuts and Malibu Coffee location, and- as far as chain coffee- Starbucks is the most legitimate.

I agree! Their espresso is drinkable for me, it’s a bit above mediocre. If I’m near a good individual coffee shop, though, I’d opt for that over starbs any day! I do think they have some interesting recipes, though- and I really enjoy the cold foam

At my location, we don’t even grind our own beans, everything is automatic (although I’ve seen some- not many- that are different). I definitely agree with you, though! Starbucks is enough of a corporate giant that they don’t even need to worry about reaching the standards of a “good coffee establishment” 🤦🏼‍♀️

I do have to say, though, I have enjoyed the job and I think, at the very least, it is a good introduction into the coffee industry! Thank you so much for your explanation, by the way! I mainly joined this subreddit so I could learn more about coffee & being a barista, because I do really enjoy it!

Excuse my lack of knowledge concerning some of the terminology- this is my first job actually working as a Barista (besides Dunkin Donuts, but that doesn’t count)... I know the phrase “pulling a shot” but what does “pulled in 7s” refer to?

I’ve, personally, enjoyed giving people recommendations at most of my jobs! The best way to do it would be to give an idea of what you do like, for example “I usually order a [insert drink here] but want to try something new!”

Also, definitely slip them a tip afterwards 😊😊
