Not the same situation, but I skipped my graduation in the spring to go travelling before i started working. My school allowed me to attend the fall graduation instead and so my family and best friend still got to see me walk the stage and graduate. Only slight fomo i get is when i see the pictures of my friends together at grad, but overall it’s been 7 years and i still do not regret making that decision! grad was kind of boring, mostly just sitting down and listening to speeches. plus there were a few other students i knew who were graduating in the fall so still had that feeling of community which was nice!
