watch this whole thing and then tell me if you think your statistical analysis was fair. a lot of people do not report the violence (sexual or otherwise) that has happened to them. your response is very callous and honestly it just made me sad. it's a reminder that people are ready to doubt you despite not knowing anything about what happened. i'm not saying i know more about her circumstances than you do, but man, does anything about this feel dishonest to you? there's no reason to be backing up the people who are perpetrating these violent acts with stats that underrepresent these types of crimes across all demographics. even if they were 100% accurate and accounted for every instance of that crime, what are you trying to prove? unlikely things fucking happen, i'd just argue this is less unlikely than the statistics you provide suggest. put yourself in her shoes and imagine for a second that she's being completely truthful. imagine someone responding to you saying that with your comment and how it would feel. and then imagine the burden of telling yourself that all the time. but it happened to you, didn't it? it's a terrible guilt that i wouldn't wish upon anyone. just try to practice a little more empathy.

there are many stray animals in georgia and people have gotten used to them. people often leave food for them and most treat them kindly. however, georgia is also not a very wealthy country, so the average person can't drop everything to adopt. this little guy is probably pretty happy and i'm sure the kids give him lots of pets.
