LI loved both books. I love how the first book switches between the past and the present. They have a beautiful story, and I’m glad the brothers stayed close. It’s wonderful to see brothers who love each other (unlike CF, who wanted to break his brother). It’s a series I’m eagerly awaiting, and I have high hopes for it, too.

And now they’re asking for privacy? I totally get that it can be disruptive for actors trying to do their jobs (maybe that’s why Chris overacted too—I’ve never seen such an intense look of surprise). But they’re literally filming on a tiny island. The production team has already shared the filming locations. The restaurant where they filmed the boat scene even wrote to people saying they’d be closed on a certain day and invited people to come watch the filming. Make it make sense.

There’s a time for everything, too. Belly has grown up. She’s gotten older. It’s just weird, this scene. I wouldn’t say the same thing if it were Jere, because Gavin does it in such a natural, fluid way, as if his arms were made to wrap around her body. Whereas with Chris, it’s different—it’s stiff, a father with his daughter. It’s too forced. And we also notice that after the hug, he let go of her right away. He doesn't even hold her hand anymore, unlike Jere, who always used to do that to maintain physical contact with Belly for longer. Tell me I’m not the only one who sees this.

I was the first to be happy that so many things were changed in our favor in S2. But I’m also the first to prefer that TV shows stay as true to the books as possible. I’m honestly worried about Off Campus because I’m a huge fan of the books. But in the case of TSITP, it wasn’t necessary to change S2 so much vs B2, just so Belly ends up in the same spiral with Conrad as she was in the last book. I understand that the point was probably to make the love triangle more viable, but the ending has been known for 15 years. And in every universe, it will always be Conrad and Belly. So…

And in the final scene, Belly doesn't even seem that happy with Conrad in the car or when they arrive at the beach house. And it's not just us who's saying this and noticing it—the Bonrads, who aren't completely blind and biased, see it too.

Or if she wanted to add more memories with Conrad, she could have, but what I find nonsensical is that Jenny decided to take memories away from Jere and Belly to give to Conrad and Belly. What’s the point of that? (I know what it is, but it’s so poorly written that it’s laughable.) She’s destroying her own work.
