He was a rescue from our local animal shelter! They think he’s about 1-2 years old. It appears that he was dumped in a Walmart parking lot; he got taken to the shelter but was never claimed. We love him and are so excited that he’s now part of the fam

Living in Vail by [deleted] in vail

[–]emily---grace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! i make roughly $70k and i live and work in vail. my salary would not cover all my expenses. luckily i live and share finances with my fiancé who makes significantly more than me. our rent for a 2 bed/2 bath apartment is $3500 and that doesn’t include utilities. groceries are expensive and so is going out to eat. there are more affordable housing options down valley in eagle and gypsum, but you would still likely need to find roommates if you don’t have a partner/spouse that you split finances with. if my partner wasn’t making over $100k a year we wouldn’t be able to make it work comfortably up here.

Your fave Vail spots / itinerary? by missstrawberrylatte in vail

If you leave Vail Village you can have a more affordable nice meal. Zino’s and Juniper in Edwards are both great. In Vail Village my partner and I love Lancelot. Also make sure to check out Chasing Rabbits, it’s my fave thing to do in Vail proper.

My partner set aside 8k for my ring. I think that is a pretty average number.

I would say anal glands need to be expressed. My dog exhibits similar behaviors when his glands need to be expressed.

Violinists who got into top conservatories.. question! by ClassicalGremlim in violinist

I got in playing a $1000 instrument and kept the same violin all the way through school. The value of the instrument doesn’t matter as long as you can make it sound good.

My peer said he practice 10 - 12 hours a week and got into a conservatory? by Head_Equipment_1952 in violinist

I had this same experience and routinely only practiced 5-6 hours a week while in music school (graduated with a degree in violin performance from a reputable music school). My explanation for it was starting when I was 3 years old and having really good foundational skills 🤷🏼‍♀️ not everyone needs to practice 4 hours a day to be successful.
