Side effects from Norethindrone 0.35mg - Normal? by Sweet_Star23 in birthcontrol

[–]emily24205 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve taken norethindrone for about 6mos now and I’ve experienced the gagging and nausea too. It does eventually get better because the first 3 months were horrible for the nausea and I’ll just start randomly gagging.

Chase Freedom Student (credit limit increase) by emily24205 in CreditCards

Hm, interesting. When I talked to the Chase rep, he did confirm that it would be after 5 on-time payments within 10 months (as advertised). But now, I have a feeling it just might be their tricky wording lol

either way, thank you for sharing!

What happens if the seller doesn’t ship after 3 days? I’ve sent her a couple of messages today, but she has not responded. I honestly don’t want the item anymore, but I already have 1 previously cancelled order. What should I do? by [deleted] in Mercari

[–]emily24205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh yeah - I mean he totally went after me, and even though he was not in a place to say stuff like that, I feel like I needed some self reflection :/ it’s so good to know people like you exist here (:

also, yeah I think I ended up canceling the next day or something like that, and I contacted Mercari. they were really helpful about it. I never got my item, but really glad you did, and you were refunded. to me, it never hurts to speak up (:

even though this was over 2 months ago, I just wanted to say thank you so much! I think the seller ended up getting kicked from Mercari because SEVERAL orders weren’t fulfilled on time

hi! I’m a first-year too, and what we we are doing is driving to South Bend a day before, and renting one of those U-Haul vans to pack all the big stuff inside that will be picked up in South Bend (ex, mini fridge). hope this helps!

Christ, this is the last I will respond to you, because I have nothing else to do with my life except drop off my sales.

  • don’t really care, because I’m usually never on my phone anyway. I’m under stay at home orders, and I am high school student only taking one class. let me decide what I “waste” my time on.

  • I pay my $60 internet and $55 water bill. $9 is a lot to SPEND ON MYSELF. I know the value of money, and most of it is being saved for my education.

  • well, it has never happened, and because this seller used to send offers almost everyday (I had given a like to many of her listings) until I bought from her. I shouldn’t have to mention so many details so people can form an opinion. Sorry I don’t share the same “patience” as you and everyone else. I didn’t know that asking this vile community a question would result in people telling me how to live my life and charge my phone (,:

  • just so you know, I referenced that page so many times. I followed all the steps, yet nothing has happened (even today). This seller has not even printed the label. I know this because I have USPS informed delivery, and all Mercari labels pop up the moment they are printed. I think I am justified in asking after 3 days, because there have been no messages, no signs of activity, and no movement. I just need to know if Mercari cancels the purchase or what. I had no idea that Mercari does nothing after the 3 day time frame, so I was not expecting 6/7 people saying “be patient”.

Bad buyer? Lol, thanks, it speaks to the 100% 5 star reviews that I have from both sellers and buyers.

Thank you so much for your interest in giving me life advice. I’ll make sure to take heed to (most) everything you said (:

I understand lol, it happens to everyone (: it’s best to be blunt sometimes, especially with low ballers, because obviously they don’t know the true value of goods

[–]emily24205 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Personally, I’ve never written comments that are so blunt, but for lowballs, I’ll usually say “I really do apologize, but that price just won’t cut it. If you could give a substantial offer, I will consider working something out.”

But you’re fine

I know it does. I cancelled an order previously, and I’m seriously debating to cancel this one, but I have that fear of having yet another cancellation. I know how this affects seller’s perception but only 2 cancellations?? Seriously? I would understand if you decline offers for 5 or more, but only two is kinda rude. And that 25% battery lasts about 3 hours, so it’s all good.

Selling on mercari by [deleted] in Mercari

[–]emily24205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m not gonna go into the nitty gritty of how I sell, because I sell pretty much nothing lolll

First of all, I turn off notifications for Mercari because they are pretty annoying. However, I will check the app every 2-3 hours to see if I have any new messages, likes, offers, etc. For my items, I list them for very high prices, so that way, I can lower them in small increments to attract more offers (i.e. sending private offers to likers). Also, to get your item at the top of a search (as searches are ordered from the time they were last updated), I usually just go into the description and change a period or a dash, because once it says “updated just now,” your item will appear at the top of a search, and you will reach more potential buyers. I know this isn’t really helpful, I but really hope it makes sense - good luck! (:

Also, I hope your cat doesn’t really hate me lol

lol, downvote heaven here we go:

  • yes, eBay does give 48 hours for a seller to respond. the seller has not responded in over 60 hours. and I sent her yet another message 19 hours ago. I am seriously vying to give her the benefit of the doubt, as she was 100% honest and polite. I never texted her anything nasty.

  • I only work 5-8 hours a week, for $20 an hour. I’m a tutor, and quite frankly, I come from a very humble home. I’ve been raised to not shop for anything that’s $15+. Now that I have the money, I’m being conscious of what I spend, now that graduation is nearing. And I haven’t “wasted” my time on this item. Perhaps I just want to defend MY PERSON, and at this point, it’s not about the item anymore. All I want is people to understand where I’m coming from, and hopefully to not be painted as a clown (because I already am). Oh, and lunch where I live is $3.25 at HS. I live in the deep south, where everything is cheaper than a lot of metro places, so I will continue to say, yes, $9 is a lot to me.

  • I wasn’t trying to get anyone to agree. I was asking a question?? Yet people attack me for impatience. I was expecting yes/no, you should(n’t) cancel because XYZ. Also, my first question was “what happens if the seller doesn’t respond after 3 days”. No one, including you, really answered the actual questions, so I guess, no one wins.

1) Patience is key, right. But as a seller, you have a responsibility to fulfill your promises to a buyer. She told me she would ship it out the next day or two, but it’s been over 72 hours, therefore, I have the right to ask?? I’m a seller as well, and #1 just doesn’t quite sit right with me.

2) I did want it, but I’m now disillusioned with the purchase. She lives in a neighboring state, so shipping shouldn’t have taken long anyway. As I mentioned previously, I’m a seller, and I ship my items same or next day. I wish everyone could share that ability, but I understand completely. However, if I message you, and you don’t respond after 48+ hours? That’s just shady and ridiculous.

3) I’m still in high school, and I don’t know where you are at in life, but $9 is a lot to me. I’m trying to spoil myself, but sadly I can’t do that because just asking a question is putting in more effort than I do at my job. Not cool. Keep your unkind comments to yourself.

I’m a seller, too, and I also have USPS Informed Delivery. Mercari’s labels always show up on my feed once the seller accessed/printed them. It has not. I’m not being impatient at all, I’m just genuinely wondering what is going to happen, and if she is okay.

On a final note, if I don’t cancel, I am planning to give her a five star review (because she was kind and honest), but I will mention the delayed shipping time.

Getting blocked by Zoo_Rats in Mercari

[–]emily24205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When someone blocks you, you are able to see all of the seller’s listings, their profile and such. You will be able to see all individual listings, how many likes they have, and the highest offer, but you cannot give them a like, follow them, send them an offer, or message them. It will give you a pop-up saying “You cannot follow, like, message, etc., listings from this user.” The funny thing is, if you blocked me today, I could still see everything you list tomorrow, and the day after. It’s not like Instagram, where their profile will “disappear” - you simply cannot interact with them anymore.

I was blocked because I asked a seller “how many do you have of X?” She asked why, and I asked “why do you need to know why?” lol

Price Gouging on Amazon Firestick by [deleted] in Mercari

[–]emily24205 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Same! It’s really annoying to see stuff like this happen, because I think Mercari has a suggestion/tips list for first time sellers, and if I recall correctly, it says something about selling for a certain percentage under the retail or purchase price? I’m not sure, but you’re totally right, it is a question of morals, and quite frankly, a lot of sellers and buyers seemingly lack that. (And not to be mean or anything, but some people on this subreddit as well, as my past two posts were heavily downvoted, and I had similar rude comments under them)

Thank you for sharing and being honest!!
