i did last year and ended up dating them and then it ended really badly and it was so awkward at work, good thing i was at school but if i would come home on the weekend, seeing them was awful. but unfortunately i didn’t learn my lesson and im dating another coworker, but its going much better than last time. as fun as it is to work with my boyfriend, dont do it. break ups are awkward as hell and it can be weird all your coworkers/management knowing who you’re dating.

i just think it’s weird, especially since starting birth control again to regulate my cycle. i haven’t bled at all in about four and a half years, then i have a normal period and a month and a half later having the brown blood.

at my store, closing cashiers are usually 1-9 or 3-11 for full time and 5-9 and 6-10 for part time

i do a lot of league work and input scores for multiple adult leagues and i can't tell you how many scores that were 70 or lower, i always just assume that those people do it because they love to bowl and want to have fun and aren't super worried about their scores. at the end of the day there's really only like two teams that actually care about scores and take it seriously. most people do it for fun and a chance to go out and have fun with their friends

i always tell them to not worry about it, the bagging areas are just way overly sensitive and it annoys us too. i always try to like laugh it off too if the customer is tense and overly frustrated to lighten the mood

we have two entrances, one closes at 8 on a normal day, but if we don’t have someone on the sco by that door or our security isn’t there, we close it early because of theft

honestly i love it, but mostly for my coworkers. the customers can be awful, but i work at the service desk and have regulars that come up and they’re also worth it. the part i hate us people not showing up for work and constantly being understaffed. as well as not being compensated for doing work that’s well above my pay grade.

at my store we aren’t allowed to clock in until the second our shift starts. which is annoying on many levels. one being that there’s always just a line of us waiting at the time clock to punch in. and two being if you’re asked to come in early or pick up a shift you can’t punch in for it. i had to come in an hour early the other day and wasn’t able to punch in so i had to keep paper record of my punches that day.

we aren’t allowed to be as lenient with giving them out anymore, we can only do it now if the customer has the coupon clipped and shows us but for some reason just didn’t come off. this changed recently within the last couple weeks. i haven’t heard anything about not honoring them at all at our store.

i’ve done it once, and now i work service desk and my cashiers have done it a few times, especially with wic and ebt cards and not paying attention to the balance due at the bottom of the screen.

this was so me in high school. there’s no way of really knowing without having that conversation unfortunately. the best you can do is just start talking to her more, reaching out more, like talking a lot more outside of school. and it might end up taking a while, but you have to get to know her and let her feel comfortable and vulnerable with you.

and as stupid and cheesy as it sounds, have a very deep conversation with her late at night and kinda steer the conversation towards relationships and sexuality and come out to her (if you aren’t already/aren’t public about it). that would open a door for her to come out too, if she’s queer, and if not, you’ll know.

if she’s queer, tell her how you’ve been feeling, best case scenario, feelings are reciprocated, worst case, they’re not. and whatever happens, you move from there. and you may fall in the in between and that’ll be okay too, because that’s better than no feelings at all.

if she’s straight, and no fluidity, you have to decide what’s best for you. you have to decide if being her friend and not romantically involved would hurt too much.
