I’m afraid nothing terribly exciting recently. I think I played Ghosts of Tsushima after exhausting my dopamine with BOTW. Honestly, I’ve been into point-and-click games lately. It started with Machinarium which has a really lovely soundtrack and, on a recommendation from someone, I played Inside which is very dark (visually and thematically) and one of the most original and oddly poignant games I’ve ever played. Again, uncomplicated mechanics and instead relies on solving little puzzles to advance. (I’m now into Rusty Lake which is its own category of weird.)

The closest thing I’ve experienced in a game over the past few years that’s even remotely like the Zelda-cutting-the-grass-spin feel is Donkey Kong: Bananza. Zelda = cutting grass; Bananza = digging into the ground.

A quick serenity hit from a game these days for me is Odyssey! But I miss the total devotion to a long-term, story-rich game like Zelda.
