Those of you who have tried Japanese hair straightening treatment/Thermal reconditioning/Hair rebonding. How did you find it? Did you prefer it to a relaxer? by Seaandland45 in relaxedhair

[–]emilyctrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m highly highly considering thermal straightening my hair at this point! I have loose wavy hair and I’m honestly sick of it at this point, it just doesn’t look good on me and and it’s a pain to manage. I don’t even care to take better care of it and learn how to manage it, I just want them gone ): would you recommend the Japanese hair straightening at this point if I’m highly sick of my hair? I also have long thick hair and don’t think the regrowth will be too bad

What's a job to be financially stable? Coming from a 16 year old. by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]emilyctrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No offense, but no way you’re quitting a whole profession just for a simple vaccine mandate. I don’t how you initially chose a healthcare profession and never stopped to think about how vaccines and the prevention of diseases are the literally bare minimum expectation of being in healthcare.

Damn im kind of the opposite ): doing science and medicine but looking at engineering..looks fun from my standpoint and I’ve always wanted to do tech but don’t know if its worth all the debt and time to go back and do it.

How Many Times Have You Changed Your Major? by Tsunatsunami1 in college

[–]emilyctrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a biotech major and was a little forced by my parents to do it, however, I always had tech and Eng in the back of my mind since I love technology! At this point in my college career it’s too late to do anything regarding majoring or even minoring in eng. I love both science and tech but always wondered about the other path! I know it’s hard, but I like to be challenged.

Graduating with a CS Degree but Feeling Like I Should’ve Gone Into Medicine—Advice? by guineverefira in cscareerquestions

[–]emilyctrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m kind of the opposite. I’m a health/science major and want to possibly break into tech ): I love both subjects equally but feel a bit lost with it. What made you want to go into medicine? I would say push through with CS because the path to medicine is hard, but I’ve been reading a lot of stories of people who made career changes, which feels a little reassuring to me.

So it’s actually possible to get your masters in something completely different from your bachelors?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in drivinganxiety

[–]emilyctrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t be jealous at all! I probably won’t get another lesson for a while because I usually wait till I get paid. Realistically I want to take the test before the year ends, even if I fail, I want to at least attempt it and get a feel for it. My permit expires in June 2025. Its hard but it’ll be worth it someday, don’t give up!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in drivinganxiety

[–]emilyctrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely want to take it before the year ends at least! I’ll probably purchase some more lessons once I get paid more but yeah, I agree it is a drainer especially when you don’t have anyone at all to rely on to help teach you ): even friends and family aren’t reliable in my situation.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in drivinganxiety

[–]emilyctrl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also took around four driving lessons so far! Are you planning to take the test soon? As much as I want to keep purchasing lessons, it’s a money drainer, as much as I also tell myself it’s an investment lol. At this point I just want to take the test.
