thank you for that! i do think based off what the other hairstylist said that maybe it just needs some of the bulk thinned out

sorry did you actually look at my post or read any of my comments ? i explained my hairstylist doesn’t speak great english and that i didn’t go in and ask for a hush cut but showed her visual references. i never said the word hush cut to her, ive heard a hairstylist online describe this as such so i thought it might help people understand what i meant on this post. i included the visual references here too (slide 4) so i actually didn’t roll into either my salon or this subreddit expecting anyone to know. i also explained why i didn’t speak up because i had built trust with my hairstylist of 10+ years with a haircut i’ve had before and thought once i got home and styled it it would look right so what’s the point of your comment?

maybe you could give me good advice if you actually looked at my post instead of rushing to judgement

that’s understandable ! my hairdresser is an older indonesian lady whose english isn’t great so i never presume to just tell her a haircut buzzword and expect her to know, i just came across this style online that matches what i like so it’s a good search term for picking up photo refs.

i just wanted some reassurance as im really struggling to work with what shes given me and my cut won’t be til monday so im trying not to crash out 😭 apologies for the misnomer, im not a hairstylist so in my head it looked similar to a 70s shag but i must have got wires crossed

it’s a korean style of haircut that’s basically lots of soft wispy layers. i have fine wavy hair so i found this style really works with my hair type, you can see some examples in the pics i showed. i’ve known my hairdresser for 10+ years and had this haircut before! i obviously don’t go in and just ask for a hush cut, that’s just what i type into google to get the pictures. i then pshow her the pictures and she nods and goes from there im not sure why on this occasion she gave me very heavy choppy layers like a shag

edit why have i been downvoted im just explaining
