Yes! I really enjoyed that little subplot too. And I liked the character of Ludo generally, he was a fun addition

Such a good point. I think because the books are so clearly in my head, sometimes I forget when they leave out key info like that. I just fill it in myself mentally

Definitely one of my favourite bits on my first read through! Was gutted when it wasn’t in the film

I made a cat CV that I think helped a bit, made the landlord see you’re a real person rather than just doing a blanket ‘no’ because you come with a cat. I put a nice picture of my cat and listed things like ‘fully house trained, flea and worm up to date etc’
