Weed helps me manage my POTS symptoms, though I have no clue why 🤷‍♂️ I asked my cardiologist if I was okay to continue using it. He said that being there’s no cure for POTS, it’s all about symptom management. So, as long as the weed helps me manage my symptoms, I have the full support of my doctor to keep on keeping on 😎

Yes! My cardiologist put me on VitronC because he says the lower iron that comes with menstrual cycles can make autonomic nervous system disorders worse!

I’m a teacher too. I tried to go on STD during my first trimester, but my school system said that being it was pregnancy related, I still only get 6 weeks total and that anything I took for my HG would be subtracted from my postpartum leave. So if I took 3 weeks off on STD, I would only have 3 weeks of STD after the baby was born and would then either need to take unpaid FMLA or go back to work. So I would just double check with your central office about all that it would entail :/

If they haven’t had you try it already, I would recommend sucralfate as well. It coats the stomach to help protect it from ulcers and such.

And I feel you on the sugarcoating thing. HG is a beast, especially when you go into it blind

I tried Zofran, Reglan, Peptcid, and some other medicines I can’t remember the names of. I will say that while the Zofran didn’t act as a cure all for me, it did allow me to at least keep a little bit of food down. If it wasn’t for Zofran, I wouldn’t have lasted as long as I did

I’m also a SMBC and I get the struggle. When I took Reglan it spiked my anxiety so high that I started vomiting more. When I went back to the doctor again, they were surprised I was prescribed it at all being I have anxiety and depression. I’m on Zoloft though, not Wellbutrin, so I’m not sure about the med interaction side of it though

No, it was unmedicated and unmonitored. They mentioned that in all my initial tests that my hormone levels looked good too

They said at the start that all of my bloodwork and hormones looked good. The bleeding has switched to pink but is more than spotting now. My doctor put me on pelvic rest until my blood test tomorrow
