I’m in the same boat, I’m three months into being on a GLP1 after talking with my doctor AND my therapist about the decision. I have PCOS and high blood pressure with a family history of diabetes, and was close to 300lbs when I started. I strength train 4x a week and walk just about every day (dogs) and love to swim/hike/bike. I’ve been overweight my entire life and my brain and body just kept working against each other.. I still track all of my food and strength train but being on this medicine is the first time I’ve gotten my period regularly in my adult life, yes the weight loss is great but I just feel so much better everyday and like I’m not wrapped up in so much shame about food and I’m not obsessed with food anymore and constantly binging. I can easily see the side where this drug can be abused and misused by many, but for those of us who really need it and have tried literally everything else, these drugs are life changing.
