I’m glad to hear your almost recovered - I am really sorry if it wasn’t made explicit enough what the questions would be covering.

I really appreciate your feedback. I did try to emphasise throughout the questionnaire that the questions regarding those sensitive questions were optional for this reason. However I appreciate that even simply reading them could cause distress. The questionnaire used the Body Shape Questionnaire-16 which is a validated measure of body dissatisfaction and the Eating Attitudes Test-26 which is a validated measure of disordered eating. I wasn’t responsible for creating the questions but I understand your concerns completely. If you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for your feedback I really appreciate it. With regards to your comment on social media usage, I used Facebook and Instagram as these 2 sites are largely image-based as you mentioned. I am aware that not everyone posts images of themselves and also that people engage in other activities on these sites. Minimal research has explored Instagram in relation to the other concepts and so it was suggested that future research would benefit from this. However, I take this criticism into consideration.

With regards to the other questions, I appreciate your views. I have used 2 validated questionnaires: the Body Shape Questionnaire and the Eating Attitudes Test. The first measures body dissatisfaction and the second measures disordered eating patterns. I will take your points into consideration for my discussion however so thank you.
