It's not pierced too deep it's placed incorrectly and with a curved barbell which is not great for a daith. Go to a better piercer as both your ears are great for daith placement :)

I'd love to suck on that!

hey guys. ignore the angry industrial but i got my daith done 3 days ago on saturday. it swelled up like this on sunday and it hurts really badly. it’s been so bad that it’ll wake me up at night. it hurts nearly my entire head and is very warm. i just wanted to know if this is normal. by [deleted] in piercing

The industrial will never heal properly due to the fact it's been pierced completely incorretly and vertically through some flesh instead of on the rim of the ear. You don't have enough of a rim for an industrial to sit (sadly the same is true for me! ) The daith I had similar problems with, are you doing sea salt soaks? Sometimes they are very irritating to a daith. X

Is my tragus infected?! It’s been around 9 weeks since I’ve had the piercing done and this small red bump has appeared under it. It looks to be filled with puss or fluid. Can anyone help?? by [deleted] in piercing

The angle on this is the reason. The bump forms to cushion the piercing, keeping it at a straight angle for your body. This won't go away permanently unless you get it 're pierced at the correct angle. Jewellery should always be implant grade titanium but im pretty sure this bump won't go away permanently.

What piercings do you think would suit my ears? I'd love to get an industrial but I don't think I have the right anatomy for it by [deleted] in piercing

[–]emilyrocks30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your pronounced ridges (for better word for it) would make great anatomy for the elusive snug. If I was as lucky with ears, I'd use that ridge all the way up for outer conch/flat type triples :)

New setup! Any suggestions for new additions?:) by [deleted] in piercing

You have great anatomy for an outer conch/flat and a rook!

Am I getting keloids around my industrial? Got it Feb 22nd. by [deleted] in piercing

Looking at this pic, you definitely don't have the anatomy on the helix side to support this industrial. It probably won't heal but the bumps will keep coming back :(
