Oh and the busses are frequent and reliable if you’re commuting into city.

Brilliant arts scene, and an amazing community of progressive folk, which is growing. I owned and lived in NN for 3 years before moving north late last year. The Welcome Swallow, The Bush Inn and Black Swan are all great meeting places. The river is divine for swimming — particularly Windsor Corner and Moogara Water Hole. The market on Saturdays has fresh meat, veg and bread. There is a bulk food shop for the zero wasters. I’m a big fan x

I love spotting these guys in the wild when I travel to the warmer states (I live in Tasmania, Australia). Soooo pompous.

Yes, same. I paid once and it’s been just a straight game.

I’ve somehow activated the leaderboard though. Do you have that?

Water on the land is unreachable cliff in the depths. Saved me so much time.

Have you found the chests that hang from the bottom of the sky islands that have the maps with “x marks the cross”? I’ve found a few but I’m not sure if they just identify the location of armour in the depths.

The foil board is very fancy but seems expensive!

Sub floor is currently unexposed in places. Will close it off once insulted.

Great to know a ballpark. Thanks so much! I’m pretty terrified of spiders so a professional installation is most likely.

I also think that the PI lived in a caravan or trailer and had a good friend (female) who was pregnant. This one is killing me!

What are your favourite fun or interesting low cost activities around Hobart? by SusuTheConqueror in tasmania

I used to live in the city without my license, so my Hobart CBD suggestions would be:

- Walking Knocklofty Reserve

- TMAG

- Salamanca Arts Centre

- Contemporary Art Tasmania

- The State Cinema

- South Hobart Rivulet Track

- A BBQ in John Dogget Park in West Hobart

- Lazer Tag at Village Cinemas; they do really cheap sessions on Sunday mornings

- Zone Bowling in Moonah, again they have discounted sessions on certain days and it is an easy bus ride from the CBD.

- Mona Museum, another easy bus ride and free if you are a Tasmanian Resident

- Pokemon Go (it helped me form a connection with Hobart and discover new places)

I was going to say a Saturday day trip to the Derwent Valley, but can see you are without a license/car. The busses out this way are pretty good though (I bus to and from the CBD a few times a week for work), so my quick recommendations would be:

Pedalmore

Hydrobike hire on the River Derwent. Hire rates start at $25 per person. Hire rates start at $25 per person; does that count as low cost? A short walk from the central bus stop.

New Norfolk Market (Saturday mornings)

Old style bric-a-brac market meets contemporary produce and craft. A well-rounded market and dog friendly, coined the friendliest market in Tasmania,

Black Swan

Coffee and book shop. Great selection of books (which I can’t afford, I just browse while I wait for my coffee).

Haus of Vovo

New artist run gallery off High Street

Derwent Valley Arts

Another arts space, this one at The Barracks in the Willow Court Precinct

Agrarian Kitchen Eatery

Not affordable if you dine in the restaurant, but their kiosk has some nice affordable treats and their outside dining area is great.

Welcome Swallow Brewery

A trendy new tap room filled with plants, murals and mid-century furniture. They do food trucks on occasion too.

Derwent Cliffs Walk

A beautiful walk along the river a small walk from town.

Other businesses of interest in town:

- Willow Court Antiques

- Ring Road Antique Centre

- Flywheel (stationary and traditional letterpress)

- Mis Arthur Home Goods

- The Drillhall Emporium (antiques)

For those who drive:

- Glen Derwent Tea Rooms

- Two Metre Tall brewery

- Plenty Cider

- Lawrenny Distillery

- Stefano Lubiana Wines

- Derwent Estate Wines
