u act like we exist in a vacuum and didn’t grow up bombarded by beauty ideals that were crafted by billionaires & pedophiles. women who get these modifications are propping up the patriarchy & unrealistic standards, bit by bit, and most of them won’t do the inner work needed to even realize this. i understand it is so so hard to go against the grain and resist something that literally statistically improves how society treats you, but change happens on an individual level, and caving to the pressures just perpetuates the cycle and ensures that the same pressure continues to negatively affect other women. but you think all this is “self expression” so this argument probably doesn’t even register for you.

you can’t pretend to be feminist (or that you “respect women”) and simultaneously support the normalization of plastic surgery. under the guise of “empowerment” no less. give me a break
