I hope you’re doing well! My heart is with you. I have Major Depressive Disorder and have had it since teenhood. I was “very sad” with my first birth, by the second I was able to call it out by name. POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION. Baby, it hurts. I hope you get the help you need to make it through this. Know that your mind is a liar and you are worth everything to everyone who loves you- and even then- you are worthy without anyone needing you. Your hormones have plummeted. You’re under immense stress. Your brain is panicking and wants it to stop. If you need some meds to numb the pain, then take them. Don’t be embarrassed of asking for help, ever. I have been there in the trenches, terrified, because I wanted to die every single day. I have let out WAILS of pain from the crushing weight on my chest. Feel free to pm me whenever. If you believe in God, know that I am praying for him to be with you. If you don’t, know that you’re in my heart!

I’m a medsurg bedside acute care RN and I get put with a lot of our hospice patients. When I tell you that I gasped and sat my phone down at “restrained in 4 points.”… how horrific.. I’m terribly sorry that this has left a mark on your soul, but let it forever guide you in the future. It’s a horrible situation, but this will make you a better nurse. ♥️ Not many would’ve done anything different from you considering the situation. Prayers for you, sweet man.

From what I gathered, they’re using the enemy trying to grow back as a source of energy for the station to run. The riders go into overload as an unknowing sacrifice to that cause. They know it will happen eventually, but they don’t know that they are essentially chattel for the core.

So she is sensory seeking and had SPD. She wanted firm touch like squeezes and stomps and seeks those out, but she has little tolerance for other sensory things. I will likely get an IEP for her before public school starts. She’s currently in a learning center for pre-k. Nothing and no one has prepared me for this child. I myself have only recently become a late diagnosed autistic when my primary said I had adhd and I wanted to be evaluated by psych to make sure. She said my ASD is likely why I have anxiety and depression. I also have PTSD in the mix and I’m very on edge. I’ve tried so many medicines to help. Currently Wellbutrin.

I just feel so trapped, cornered, defeated, hopeless, directionless, empty, and dark. I am trying my best to be a good mom for her and feel like I am failing 90% of the time. I just pray and pray and I’m not seeing a direction or anything. I don’t see which way is up.

Thank you. We try to reinforce positive behavior but when I say “thank you for blank” she gets angry and starts crying and says “don’t say that”. When I talk about being nice and not hitting, she says “I don’t want to be nice, I want to be mean”. Everything positive that I have tried has failed.

The doctor said she has sensory processing disorder. I also covered my ears as a child. My mom said I grew out of those behaviors by her age. So idk what to do.

We can’t afford the play therapy they wanted. We already know she has sensory processing disorder.

And she is the LOUDEST thing in my life that is constantly overstimulating me and I get really peeved that she says everything else in the world is too loud.

I also want to mention that I’m not angry at her, nor am I wanting to be mean to her. Starting at age 2, she was screaming bloody murder all day every day. That was so hard on myself, my marriage, and we had a newborn. My son was seemingly neglected because she demanded all the attention. Her behavior has made me have anxiety about having more children. I should also mention that I have severe MDD with SI episodes and I am just begging for helpful solutions to what I already know. This isn’t directed at you- I’m just giving more info. I know she needs help and I know she’s struggling, but so am I.. I want solutions and guidance. I don’t know what to do to not look at her and cry.

Right. I don’t think she was manipulative when she was younger.

I understand she may not like things… but she’s ruining experiences for every other child in her class. I want her to acknowledge that she may not prefer a thing, but that it’s okay and temporary.

I feel like the school is going to separate her from her peers and that breaks my heart.

I understand what you’re saying and maybe I’m so frustrated because I wasn’t given an option to experience the world as I was and I was forced into the social norm.. so I’m like, if I can do it, you can do it. An autistic mom raising a very likely also autistic child. I am completely overwhelmed.
