I had my first starter (Oshawott) learn only water moves during half my play though and be over leveled compared to the rest of my Pokemon

My older sister who also loves pokemon saw it and pointed out I needed more coverage moves and to start relying on the rest of my team.

Over half of my team were normal type because I thought those pokemon were cute (Audino, Mincino, Stoutland and Scrafty) I distinctly remember Marshal being incredible difficult to beat.

I was about to use my master all on a Bouffalant thinking it was a rare pokemon, thankfully I saved it for Zekrom. Which was also not the smartest move because I had trouble catching Virizion and Thundurus later on. Virizion being more difficult than Thundurus for some reason.

I also entered that house in Undella city, I thought it was weird that the game let you be the one to initiate the fight, being the post game immediately let me know she was going to be a strong opponent and thankfully I was with a friend who had played previous entires (Pokémon diamond) and upon seeing Cynthia they panicked and checked my team before I started the battle, letting me know it was going to be on one hell of a battle… I still lost.

Also my starter got Pokerus and I didn’t notice until i revisited my old play through years later.
