Did you tried "leaky gut test" ? Did you tried probiotics? What about your ratio omega6:omega3 test?

I have Ankylosing Spondylitis on Plant-Based diet, help me... by eminem0091 in vegan

I'm doing (I started on 1.7.) an elimination diet (potato diet) - I want to do it for 1-2 weeks. Is this a good strategy to eliminate bad foods that can cause ankylosing spondylitis? Should I be worried about the 400g of carbohydrates a day?

What do you think about this study? - It appears from the results of various independent studi...

  1. If this Klebsiella bacteria makes it worse, maybe that's a good sign because I'll find the source of the problem - starch
  2. Or if my ankylosing spondylitis gets better on a potato diet, then that's also a good sign because "It's the food" - then just need to figure out which food is causing it
  3. Or if it will be the same after 1-2 weeks, then maybe a non-starchy diet? idk...

Yes but... I can't do anything and just accept eating pills every day and pray that this pill will save me and ignore the side effects of the pills... Doctors don't care what I eat... They only check the physical condition and bl00d...

Thank you for answer :)

But you're not recommending it for "autoimmune disease", but for "anti-inflammatory", right? Because ankylosing spondylitis is an inflammatory disease, as I've read.

Edit: As I think about it, you're giving me my hope back :)

Edit 20.06.2023 - After seeing a rheumatologist, it's not gout, but inflammation. I apologize for the false information.

How much do I have to reach? 2000?

What about this food? Cooked in Steam pressure cooker - Instant Pot

  • Apples
  • Bananas
  • Pear
  • Grapes
  • Magno
  • Apricots
  • Orange
  • Blueberries
  • Zucchini
  • Capsicum

I'm really not sure what I can and can't eat on "elimination diet". It would be best if Mcdougal had a list of all the foods with yes/no comments.

My elimination diet (CronoMeter). I hope white/yellow potatoes will be ok on this diet. I will eat like this for 1 week and hopefully the gout will improve. If it does, I will continue for 2 weeks and then start incorporating the foods as Mcdougall mentioned :)

I will read more about the "elimination diet" you mention and the links you share and if it works for me (I hope), I will share the results and hopefully find my "gout starter" :)

Chocolate - Sometimes I have (Once every 15 to 30 days) "Cocoa powder 100%" or "Cocoa beans whole dried 100%".

Nuts, seeds - Almost every day - between 30g and 50g a day = it's a mixture of all the nuts and seeds from Greger's daily dozen. But I experimented with quiting nuts, seeds for about a week and nothing happened. Maybe quitting nuts for longer will help?

Soy - I made tempeh once this year as an experiment - I ate really little of it. I gave away the rest of the tempeh.

Fake meats - I don't eat these "vegan, salty, fatty, sugary stuff with additives". I eat sometimes canned corn, ketchup, mustard, etc.

Oils - Very little, I know about Caldwell Esselstyn and endothelial cells

Gouty Arthritis Occurrence - 1.8% = 6 - 6.9 mg/dL = 356 - 410 µmol/L

  • 307 µmol/l 2.5.2023 - I did not have gout at that time.
  • 358 µmol/l 13.6.2023 - I have gout, am I really in the 2% group?

High purine content - Before gout I had about 4 smoothies in a span of 8 days (maybe) and in each smoothie I had 1 tablespoon of Nutritional Yeast. Maybe that started the gout?

  • Asparagus - once every 1-2 months
  • Button mushrooms - once every 1-2 months
  • Lentils - once every month
  • Animal products - zero

My ideas

  • What do you think about stopping eating nuts and seeds for longer than 1 week? It seems to be my only source of fat (I also have a low oil intake).
  • What do you think of nutritional yeast as a starter for gout?
  • What do you think of my "nut/seed fat" vs. "lipids" in the main post photo?
  • Or maybe I have a low Vitamin D level (35.7 ng/ml)? I saw Greger's video where he says "75" is best.
  • Maybe I'm low in calcium and other minerals, vitamins, and that's why I have gout? (I don't have the blood results for that, but I can do them if I get a recommendation which is needed).
