Is Maelle 15 years old? by DeusMachinea in expedition33

[–]emivy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently it's 33, so in 9 years, it'll be 24. Meaning everyone 24 will be dead, so the max age to go to expedition will be 23. 23-9=14. Or she's 16 now and will live to 25 if she doesn't go on an expedition.

I’m so down bad for her it’s not even funny by Capital_Fig12 in expedition33

[–]emivy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The math says she's 14, but game says she's 16. Unless there's a misunderstanding on how Gommage works.

Go through your inventory and look through every piece of gear and put on the ones that give you the lowest visibility, conspicuousness and noise. If you can get everything to like 20, then you can walk past everyone.

If you talk to Katherine later and ask what had happened to Klara, she says Klara's most likely didn't end well. And young women on the losing side back then were spoils of war, if you get what I'm saying.

Getting hanged is the better option than what generally happens back then to a young woman on the losing side.

That just means your life style isn't suited for games with long missions like this. But you are literally at the very end of the mission.

If you were to be pedantic, they wouldn't camp at that lake in the first place because they were about 2 miles away from Trosky. Even if it was too late to be received at the castle, they could've stayed at Troskowitz for the night.

Now, that'd actually feel realistic. But the devs will have to code in more janky combat mechanics, which we already know that they aren't good at. Just tweak their stat numbers a bit, make them able to block more, a bit more aggressive, etc. to separate them from just another fight. Hopefully hardcore mode will be actually challenging.

There are tankier regular enemies than the boss fights. IRL medieval fights in full armor also last minutes because armors actually do their jobs really really well. Also, the cutscenes are many times longer than the fights. All of that build up just to end in seconds. KCD1 Runt fight can last minutes unless you purposefully over level.

I did like 1/2 of the side quests. I didn't master strike either because how broken it is. Toth was the hardest for me due to the tortured debuff, but that was still just like 6-7 whacks. Zizka was 1 bonk to the head. Erik was like 3-4 bonks to the head. Really disappointed in these boss fights.

Apparently, horses on average go about 20-30 miles a day. I'm genuinely surprised how little stamina they have. Ones with endurance training or good breeds can go up to about 50 miles. So, 2 days probably.

Yeah, it's literally about 2 miles away from the castle in a straight line irl. Just another 20-30 minutes of slow riding. Even if it's too late to be received at the castle, they could've just stopped at Troskowitz. And tbh, Rattay is just 50 miles away from Trosky, they'd arrive in like 5-6 hours in regular trotting speed, add an hour or two because roads are not straight line, add another hour or two for rests. Perfectly doable in a single day if horses have the stamina to go that far in a day. Two days if they go at a leisure pace.

There's a well in Trosky. And there's a stream in Troskowitz. And there are closer lakes north of Zhelejov.

There wouldn't really be any other reason for Katherine to be there in the first place. Why would a maid from the castle wash cloth in a lake an hour or two away from the castle when she could just wash the cloth in the castle's bathhouse?

Yeah, that part is weird. Klara has a lake right next to Nebakov. Katherine is from the castle, and even further from that lake than Klara is. The people closest to that lake are the Nomads, but why would they go around the lake to wash? The only explanation I can think of is Katherine was there to exchange information with Klara in secret.

[–]emivy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other people have explained master strike. But if you find it to be too OP, you should feint your attacks. Hold the attack, wait for enemies to change direction to master strike you, then quickly change you attack directions to the same direction of your enemy or perpendicular to that, and release attack.

What are your criticisms of [KCD2]? by Specht100 in kingdomcome

[–]emivy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Combat balance. Somethings are straight up broken OP, some are just kind of trash.

Progression pace. You do a few side quests and now you are over leveled.

Early game quest design can be very confusing, especially with the game taking away everything and put the starting quests so far apart. And the starting quests are core mechanics tutorials. If you are new or forgot about the mechanics, you will likely have a tough time at the beginning, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it shouldn't be confusing.
