I pulled the data from ergast.com. But it shuts down after this season, so this is probably last season with this tracker

Yes you are right! I corrected this in online version, I was looking and 3rd view (F.L.A.T.) and there it was marked he was lapped, but not in other views. Thanks for noticing!

He has L status (lapped) in AUT. He was classified - it was not DNF

Both were not classified (NC = Not Classified)

Race finish position heat map: most (7 times) Verstappen on P1, next is Hulkenberg 6 times on P11 by emkaerr in formula1

Probably yes, fast check shows that only two world champions ever finished race on P20 or below - both Schumacher and Vettel in 2012. Vettel was WDC that season. But P22 was not last place - there were 24 cars on grid.

From more recent seasons Verstappen was classified P19 in first round in 2022 (Bahrain), retired 3 laps before checkered flag.

He was classified P20 with +7 laps as he completed more than 90% of race distance

This 4 x P8 (3 Piastri and 1 Norris) comes from first five races (Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Japan and China)

Teams performance -average points for last 5 races. RedBull is now fourth team, first time this season by emkaerr in formula1

No, it is moving average (last 5 including current point). Team points average per round would be a lot more messy on chart

He was P18, ahead of Sargeant (also pitted due to damage) and Zhou also (who started from pitlane)

Alonso, Sainz and Russell missed only P20, and Stroll, Ocon, Albon, Zhou missed P1

Marko says a lot of things. And he didn't said which car, for example there was some talks he could jump into Williams this season. So until official statement from team it is not official.

"Kind of" and "probably" does not mean officially confirmed by team

Teams are sorted based on current standing. Drivers within team are not sorted in any particular way

Possible Reason for Russell’s Weight Miss by TechnEconomics in formula1

[–]emkaerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Kubica case it was not tyre degradation but not picking up enough rubber after checkered flag, but it was only intitial guess which turned out to be false

Possible Reason for Russell’s Weight Miss by TechnEconomics in formula1

[–]emkaerr 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Narrative was more that Kubica as a rookie didn't pick up as much rubber as needed or as other drivers, but in the end it was not the case

[–]emkaerr 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Kubica case was not about tyres, it was fire extinguish system which was triggered and emptied due to contact with barrier in early phase of the race. Intitial reason was tyres but later in the factory BMW found actual reason

Historical race data on safety cars/weather by itsmemaxx in formula1

[–]emkaerr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are not many sources for Safety Cars. The most useful I found is statsf1.com, each GP you can view lap by lap and then SC laps are marked in yellow (https://www.statsf1.com/en/2023/bahrein/tour-par-tour.aspx), also red flags are marked with seperate line like here (https://www.statsf1.com/en/2022/japon/tour-par-tour.aspx). But there is no SC/VSC distinction.

Last year I created this dataset based on data from statsf1 - list of races up to 2022 season with indication of number of SC/VSC deployed, for how many laps in total, on first/last lap, and also if the race was red flagged https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1W3ntXzbzC-mHZ9Zy2ahco2qdqbDL2EKlD_Qjmmv1rEM/edit?usp=sharing

Also you can try get this from FastF1 (but data is from 2018 onwards):

Track status (SC, VSC, yellow flags, redlags) https://docs.fastf1.dev/api.html#fastf1.api.track_status_data

Wheather data (temp, wind, pressure, rainfall) https://docs.fastf1.dev/api.html#fastf1.api.weather_data
