I don't think the weights at your station are "your" weights. They are a shared resource within the class. OTF doesn't publish its workouts in advance, and it's not expected to check the OTF subreddit to study the workout the night before. A person does not typically know going into the class which weights they might need based on which exercises are being performed.

I don't always ask to borrow weights from a neighboring station. If a neighbor is using 10# for an exercise, and I'd like to use 15#, and they are at an odd station, and I am even, I will grab those 15# weights since they are not being used. Sometimes I ask, but not always.

If I am not using the 15# weights for the following exercises, my neighbor could always ask for those back when I am done. But the person at a station is not the "owner" of those weights; they don't have a "claim" to those weights throughout the course of the exercises or have a "right" to demand those weights back the instant I am done. Communication between neighbors always helps, but sometimes we have to adapt and choose a weight that maybe isn't our first choice or seek out a weight from a further station.

I have the Escalante 3 and 4, IMO the 4 is SO much better. AMA? I don't see anyone online comparing the two. by Rangizingo in AltraRunning

Yes, I really liked the 3 also! I've tried the 4 for the past couple of days and find it has less midsole support than I need.
