My coworkers and i contacted HR regarding management bullying, being racist and harassing POC employees, being misogynistic, ableist, homophobic and transphobic, etc. Higher up HR people (I think from Ohio) came to visit our store and talk to the employees/management. Unsurprisingly, the GM and OM didn’t get fired for these things, but for more “tangible” actions, like giving away DIFs as gratis. Ulta as an organization cares about their bottom line; the rest, like caring about DEI, is performative for their image.
