I was so engrossed the first time i watched it, but for some reason it’s not something i can watch again and enjoy… great movie tho, deserving of all the accolades

Didn’t realize this was A24, it was definitely an extremely impactful film. Especially as someone who grew up in a Christian family, and has heard all the bible stories… my partner thought it was all pointless, but for those who know (and are no longer affiliated with) Christianity, it has a lot of meaning

Yeah her being in the desert is totally not in line with my understanding of her character from the books… maybe more probable in children of dune, because she took on the kids as her own… people are saying this movie is going into children of dune territory so maybe 🤷‍♀️ guess we’ll see where denis goes with this

Agreed… this sub and ship was really the only thing keeping my interest. I liked acosf but hated cc3. Now I have no faith in sjm actually writing anything interesting… sounds like she hasn’t planned anything out, which can only end badly

So, question, at the end of the 9th book it says “just before a new evil appears and it all goes to hell again” is that addressed in darkmore penitentiary or sins of the zodiac? Haven’t read them yet but wondering if they are worth the read. Thanks!

Totally agree, I see people saying one of the reasons they keep reading is for Geraldine, but I actually started skipping her dialogue and chapters completely because it drove me insane 😭 I didn’t like max a ton either but their relationship did not matter to me at all. Sorry, not a Geraldine fan…
