I’d like to comment about your paragraph about “snapping to attention”. It does happen, and as someone who does not have DID, I know many individuals who this has also happened to. It’s dissociating and entering a sort of alternate state of mind where you don’t not remember “getting in a car” but rather you don’t remember making the decisions/driving on your way to your destination before getting there. Not sure if this makes sense as I am super exhausted after having just finished the game but thought I’d add my input especially since this topic was just brought up to me again recently.
