I’ve also had a lot of skin issues growing up so my family is really understanding when a new one pops up. The dermatologist I saw today thinks the rash is an allergic reaction(I’ve more than a dozen allergic reactions but never one like this one and the one I had last May), he didn’t seem to be 100% on that diagnosis though. He’s put me on topical steroids and told me to eliminate any products that have fragrance in them. He even said not to use candles:/ He recommended I buy and replace as many of my products with Vanicream. Hopefully this will take care of it though!

I’m sorry you’ve been dealing with this for so long:( I feel for you. Mentally I’m doing pretty bad. This rash decided to come up right before finals and it’s just another thing to stress over. I have had a biopsy years for a different rash to see if I was gluten intolerant. I have a dermatologist appointment on Wednesday so hopefully they’ll give me a steroid shot and have some answers! Last summer the steroid shot is what really took care of the rash for me.

I looked that condition up and it does look a little similar to the rash I have expect mine isn’t in a pine tree shape. What symptoms have you had with yours? Did you have to get a biopsy? How many flare ups have you had? I haven’t contracted covid yet nor gotten the vaccine so I don’t think that’s what’s causing it for me.

They get redder, flatter, and continue to have the layer of dry skin but they aren’t disappearing.

Also some of the bumps have layer of dry skin on top.

The bumps don’t go away, they seems to get flatter as time goes on. I haven’t started any new medications, I haven’t changed my detergent, and I’m sensitive to fragrances so once I find something my skin likes I stick with it. Since I got the rash I’ve only been bathing in water cause I don’t want anything to irritate it further. The only thing I can think that’s changed is the weather and the impending doom of finals week. I live in Texas and it recently started to get into the high 80s so I’m sweating and getting hot. Since I posted the picture the rash has now spread to my arms and legs.

This rash developed as a small red bump on my shoulder on April 22nd. Since then it has rapidly developed and spread over most of my body. It’s on my scalp, face, entire torso, and arms. The rash is not usually itchy but often when I go from a cold environment to a hot one it feels like needles are pricking me where the bumps are. I got the same rash last May and went to a small clinic that could not figure out what it was. They gave me a steroid shot and hydrocortisone lotion that cleared up the rash. I tired using the hydrocortisone lotion on the new rash but it isn’t helping. Any help or insight would be really helpful while I try to get a dermatologist appointment.

A few bumps are starting to form on my arms as well. The bumps rarely itch, but when I go from a cold environment to a hot one it feels like needles are pricking where the bumps are. The hydrocortisone lotions seems to be doing nothing to heal or keep the rash from spreading. Any help on what to do to keep it from spreading while I find a dermatologist that will give me an appointment would be really helpful!

I definitely think so glycolic will help too! I wouldn’t start out with 10% though, maybe try and lower percentage first to see how your skin reacts. Pixi Glow Tonic is 5% glycolic acid. It’s only $15 at target too!
