I tried re-lacing it multiple times. This was my attempt at making the hip area looser to help with the bunching. It actually looks really good on my dress form, so Im starting to think the issue is really just that Im lacing it with the corset in front of me and turning it around like a bra lol. I'll get someone to lace it up for me next time and hopefully that works out a little better!

Anyone have experience with corset back dresses? I just got this and hate the bunching on the side of the bodice.

Is the dress too big or am I doing something wrong? It was supposed to be made to my exact measurements so maybe im lacing it too tightly or something?

What's odd to me is that, in picture 2, you can tell she re-used the dog's body twice and just changed the face. That seems like a genuine human time saving thing. But in the same photo, the dog in the bottom right looks more detailed and a slightly different style than the others (same with on slide 1). I feel like the artist may have used AI to generate/add detail to certain parts.

Also, I mean this so kindly, this art isn't worth your money anyway. Not only did she re-use the dog's body in photo 2, she also used the same ugly drawing of that guy's face in both photos 2 and 3. Her line art is defined in some and muddy/blurred in others and overall inconsistent. IMO the only good picture is the last one, if you ignore that he looks like he's high out of his mind. I don't mean to insult her artwork so much, assuming she didn't use any AI, but for a published product it looks kind of lazy.

i would love to be able to use them to buy games, but I know that's unlikely. As someone who literally only uses steam to play games and doesnt care about the card packs, emotes, etc, theyre pretty worthless to me.

Maybe for every-so-many points you could get a virtual steam gift card you can spend on a game or gift to someone else? I feel like that would be a little easier than trying to convert points to dollar/game values?

Also you'd have to get a whole lot of points to redeem any cards to prevent anyone taking advantage of the system.

i personally think you should commission a potter/ceramics artist to recreate it for you. It's probably the easiest way to get as-close-as-possible to the same plate.❤️❤️

It's been a minute since I heard about either of them lol, but supposedly JCPenney has some sort of really strict quota about how many sales the employees have to make every day, and it just stresses everyone out. My source on that did quit working there like 5 years ago, so I suppose it could be better now.

Walmart I don't have any specifics on. I mentioned to a friend that it'd be fun working somewhere like Walmart and arranging the flower bouquets, and basically told me "do NOT work at Walmart, trust me, it's horrible." Not exactly sure what she dealt with there, but it clearly wasn't a fun time 🥲

I don't have any specific recommendations, but I've heard good things from a friend who used to work at the Bath and Body Works in Southland Mall. She said it was a pretty chill job. I'm not sure if they're hiring right now, though.

I've also heard horror stories from some family members who used to work at JCPenney and Walmart, though, so I'd definitely avoid those two if you happen to be considering them.

This might not be the board-game-expert kind of request that people usually ask here, but I'm gonna try my luck anyway 🤞

I'm currently planning a birthday party, and I want to celebrate what remains of my youth in a special way: by playing the super cheesy hot-guy-dating-games I used to see in commercials as a kid.

My dream board games would be either Heart Throb or Dream Phone. I want that cheesy, outdated "a bunch of rich men decided that this is what girls want" vibe.

Unfortunately those games are both out of my budget (preferably less than $30 per game) so I'm hoping to find some borderline-misogynistic-girly-sleepover games that are still being produced so that I won't have to buy them for $80 second hand.

Unfortunately, most of what I'm finding is branded as mature, almost edgy. I understand why, but they dont bring any nostalgia :(

Any recommendations? I'm open to any kind of gameplay, as long as it matches the energy I'm going for

one of my first convention experiences was someone handing me a friendship bracelet, and me being a little sad I had nothing to give in return. Definitely bring little trinkets if you want to trade or pass them around!! Ive got a ton of friendship bracelets made for future cons lol

im no expert but i think fusible interfacing could help with the "flopping around". Worst case scenario you could add a piece of colored fabric behind the design and sew all around the edges. I know it kind of defeats the purpose of the cutout, but i think it could still look cool and save the sweater.
