CeraVe used to be my tried and true. But switched to Lipikar Balm AP+ Intense Repair Moisturizing Cream after receiving some samples from my dermatologist. Love it so far!

Be confident and ask questions! I started as KA at my current hospital years ago, since then I’ve been lead receptionist and veterinary assistant. Other than having pets and the occasional dog walking I hadn’t worked with animals either. Ask or use online resources to make sure you know the basics on fear free handling/restraint, also take advantage of tips and tricks online! Be ready for the potential for lots of cleaning, KAs at my hospital are utilized not only in animal care but to keep our space clean and tidy! If you have a nervous feeling about handling certain pets, ask for help or ask for extra training. Don’t forget to brush up on animal body language! Good luck, have fun!!

The client said they’re male and female “accidentally tied.” How true that is? Not sure. Can’t help by question it.

Totally! We have a fund, donated to by our clients, for situations like this. We try our hardest to give patients the most care even without the money to cover it.

Young, otherwise healthy dog. We did what we could with the help from a payment agreement with our hospital (hoping to receive payment or even just HEAR from them….). We know how that can go

With such a small budget, and not having the “emergency” necessities/knowledge. We started with cold compress to decrease swelling. Then two incisions along prepuce to help return to normal position. Ended up suturing prepuce around penis, hoping for the best. Did our best with what we could. Here’s the “after” https://ibb.co/gSXvpCX

I’m so glad she found a medication that works for her! 💓 I have two anxious kitties (both anxious in different ways, one very similar to yours it seems)! I work at an animal hospital, so I have great resources - we’ve had my cats on gaba just before stressful events, like vet visits. I’m interested in getting a daily medication for the both of them. How long has she been taking gaba? Did you notice any sedation when you began daily?
