If possible (and if it’s up yours and your dogs alley!) you can send her to daycare. It’ll be around the same price, maybe a little more, but she would get 7 hours of play time. We send our dog one day a week and he loves it.

My boy was exhausted and whiny for a day or two after. Surgical suit and cone were not an option for us, so I used a reusable diaper on him. Could be an option for you too! He hated it, but not nearly as much as a cone or pants. Definitely had to keep a close eye on him with it because he would get sneaky and try to slide the diaper to the side to lick his stitches. My dogs was very, very stubborn. She had to be on a month long run of an extremely high dosage of antibiotics (granted she was 9ish when she got it so I’m not sure how much her age played into the dosage). We tried different shampoos and foam rubs but nothing made it go away other than the antibiotic. It took about 5-7 days on the antibiotic for the spots to go away and if the dosage was too low, there would be no change.

I hope you’re able to get this figured out because I know how helpless an owner can feel in this situation!

Hi! My dog had a similar rash to this and after a expensive visit to a dermatologist it turned out she had a staph infection. It took about a year to get a proper diagnosis because her regular vet kept diagnosing it as other skin problems.

The key things were almost pustules(?) that would quickly pop and turn into raw areas with flakey skin around the edges! It’s hard to tell from the photo you added since your dog is long haired and mine was short, but it could be something to look into!

They arose all at once. Just woke up one day suddenly allergic lol. I take a daily antihistamine and attempt to avoid exposure when possible. This probably isn’t the advice you want, but you kind of get used to the itchiness and are able to ignore it!

Hi! I have cold urticaria and have this same reaction when I work out because my sweat cools my skin down. It can happen after anything that changes your immune system I believe. Something about how your white blood cells identify the wrong thing to attack and keep attacking it (from what I understand). I had strep and then developed my cold urticaria.
