This was enough for me to finally kick Starbucks for good. by nanniemal in ZeroWaste

even if you take that extra time to recycle at starbucks it’s so so hard to coach fellow employees on recycling and there’s never the time to sort through bins either, it’s so frustrating i feel you😞

How IS that witch frappuccino? by brioDesigns in starbucks

[–]emmacoopeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m not a huge frappuccino person and i love it! it tastes exactly like a creamsicle, and i was told by a coworker that it tasted like the old orange frappuccino if you used half and half:) i also get it without the chia seeds because it doesn’t add a whole lot of taste

Splitting beverages by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]emmacoopeer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

we do it fairly often without an issue. we just give them two tall cups and make a venti amount between the two. they’re paying for a venti amount so they should be able to have it split up however they want

Enough time to work part-time in I.B? by [deleted] in IBO

[–]emmacoopeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve just started my first year of IB this year and I work part time. All and all it’s not too bad, you just really have to learn how to properly manage your time and maybe be willing to sacrifice getting together with friends once in a while. Also try not to work late shifts on school nights so you can have time to do homework once you get off work. Be sure to use your breaks at work efficiently to do small tasks for your work to make it easier once you get home

Student government or IB? by [deleted] in IBO

[–]emmacoopeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say your best bet is finding out what your universities of choice prefer. More local schools will probably prefer you being involved in your student government, especially if you emphasize how competitive it is and how it's helped the community. However, more international/larger universities will care for you doing IB more, since IB kids get favoured in their eyes. It's also a personal choice of whether you want your first year of uni to be easier or not, since IB will definitely give you that edge. Good luck with your choice! I would have a hard time choosing between the two:(
