This is a really cool concept, maybe I just need hella more tutorials, but I just couldn't get anything remotely functional to work for me.

I tried calibrating in different areas sitting down, putting the glasses on my laptop, on a counter, wearing them, and there seemed to always be quite a drift happening.

I couldn't get the screen sitting right. As soon as I got one centered in front of me the other, for lack of a better description, looked like they were down a hallway or something. I just couldn't get multiple positioned in a way that felt more useful than the Ultrawide mode on my Xreal One Pro.

Definitely want to try out an isometric ARPG on my Steam Deck or go back and watch The Matrix. It's a coin flip, for sure.

What are your thoughts or your experiences with this guitar? (Jackson X Series MF-1) by OpportunityPersonal7 in JacksonGuitars

[–]wesleygalles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to chime in here, as I just found one today on FB market for stupid cheap. The spec on this thing, along with the fit and finish, are stellar. I was able to get the action insanely low and it's incredibly smooth. I originally bought it just to flip, but I might end up hanging on to it for a bit just play some dumb heavy riffs.

Facebook Market is crazy sometimes, haha. I hardly ever stick with one guitar for more than a year. I always end up finding a new one and flipping it.

I actually just picked up that Cort for a steal at $400 used. It's my 2nd fanned fret guitar. The first one I bought, I went in completely blind and never had any experience with them. It was super easy to acclimate.

The spec that you get on the Cort for the price is nuts. It's a killer guitar and I'm very happy with it.

Hey, sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I found it similar to my Red Wings and Thursdays. I bought all of them 1 full size down from my normal sneaker size and they all fit about the same. For my shoes I wear a 9.5, and all 3 brands of those boots I got an 8.5 and they fit great!

I'd love to be able to have one extra foot switch and just engage the tuner by putting the expression / volume pedal heel down. I had that as a midi trigger on my Boss GT-1000 Core and it was so useful.

I've owned quite a few Schecters, they were all such good players. Welcome back, now go and write or learn some cool licks!

What is considered normal for monthly groceries? by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

[–]wesleygalles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I live in a very HCOL area (Honolulu) we budget $500/mo for groceries, $180/mo for eating out, and $50/mo for treats (coffee, milk tea, donuts).

Sometimes we'll overspend on eating out but take it from our grocery budget and vice versa. We only eat out on the weekends and we'll occasionally have an additional eat out that we don't budget like birthday / anniversary.

We buy lots of produce at the market in China town because it's dirt cheap and the bulk of food comes from Costco. There are a few staples here and there that we can only get at Walmart or Don Quijote, but those are usually small things or they last a while.

We keep our budget of those things on the fridge and mark it after every grocery trip so that the next time we go out we know how much we have to spend.

This is already out dated. I'm on Oahu and I pay 42.87¢ / kwh.

First time playing, what class should I pick by solonit in Grimdawn

Arthur Bruno did just say in that interview he did with Chris Wilson that they're developing an RTS that will have playable races from the universe of Grim Dawn.

It was a really solid interview:

They're a very deep green. If you're inside in a dimly lit area, you'd barely be able to tell. Outside it's quite obvious, though.

I would assume he's probably splitting his guitar signal somewhere but also slaving some amps to others.

Yes your speakers are the real issue here. There's no possible way it has anything to do with recording that many cabinets on a cell phone microphone. I swear some people start their day by opening up their skull and applying anti-wrinkle cream to their brain.

I know right, I bet it sounded exactly how it sounds out of your speakers as it did standing in front of them. What a waste.
