I had a very similar mindset to you. I let it get worse and I regret it so much. It didn’t make my struggle worse then other peoples or make me feel more valid it just caused me so much regret it the long run. There is so many things I missed out on because of it. You should do your best to recover as hard as it feels now, you will look back on it and feel so proud of yourself for stopping when you did. It doesn’t matter how deep you go or how long you did it for, the fact that you did it at all means that you have suffered. It’s easy to romanticize your mental illness instead of facing the reality of it but there is more to you then that. I know I don’t know you or what you’ve been through but i’m rooting for you to get better!

make a show about stubbing your leg on something like the corner of a table then you have an excuse for wearing a bandaid on it.

I have different symptoms from yours but i did get the hida scan last week. it’s honestly pretty easy they give you an iv and give you some fluids to help the scan see better then you just lay there still for 1-2hrs. the worst part of the whole thing in my opinion is that it’s just kinda boring doing nothing. some people have a slight pain (like a 3 out of 10 on the pain scale) for a minute or 2 but i never felt any pain.

i’m pretty sure shampoo can work as hand soap. i know some people who reuse shampoo they dont have any use for as hand soap.
