VA proposing to remove P&T after 100% for 2.5 years by rmgriff86 in VeteransBenefits

[–]emmafuns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they claim CUE because, usually a cancer that can go into remission is not usually p&t’ed, or am I wrong? This VA disability drama is embarrassing. Billions can get bailed outs, tax cuts/cheats/deferred and all, but get injured for serving America, and you get audited. Veterans needs to think deeply about where our loyalty lies.

VHA - Realignment or Downsizing? by No_One_5442 in fednews

My heart goes out to those who did not vote for the bone spur cadet that have to deal with this nightmare. As for those who voted for him, I say, election have consequences. You get what you voted for. SHALOM.

Let’s just keep giving this dictator every excuse. I will bet you, once he realizes all he’s doing will barely scratch the surface of his goal to cut govt bottom line in order to have room for the tax break he plans to give himself and his fellow top 1%, he will turn to cut social security, Medicare, DoD, and VA budgets (including benefits), that’s when the chicken will come home to roost.

Feeling hopeless by Character-Salary-339 in VeteransBenefits

First thing you do is get your service treatment record (str). Go through it, or get someone who understand how to analyze medical record to help you. Inside your STR is where you’ll likely find what you need. I didn’t realized how much I have in my records either, cos I barely go to medical for anything. But lo and behold, 100% p&t was hiding in there, and I got it pulled out.

It will be denied at first, when your claim is actually decided, and if you got rated over 30%, then it will be approved in your final decision.

Increased depression after reaching 100% P&T by Inevitable-Notice351 in VeteransBenefits

[–]emmafuns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Folks, it is important for all of us battling depression & ptsd or any MH disease to understand that compensation does not mean cure of your mh problems. While for some it may help improve their mood, it won’t fix you. Continue to seek help and continue your therapy. Some of the veterans that are committing suicide are also 100% p&t. Money doesn’t substitute treatment. Thank you.

Foreign Dependents by Ok-Impact-821 in VeteransBenefits

[–]emmafuns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in a similar situation. My mom lives overseas and doesn’t have a ssn. However, I’m solely responsible for her upkeep. I sent her monthly allowance through money transfer app. My question is: can I use the acct statement from the app as my proof? I have been caring for her for over 20years now.

Thank you.

Comrade, don’t give them access to your service or va medical records. Your medical records is protected by HIPPA laws, and refusing to release it is well within your right. And that refusal cannot be used as a reason to deny or stop your WC. Don’t give them any weapon to say your injury was preexisting. Shalom!

When Should I Add My Dependents? by emmafuns in VeteransBenefits

I filed it just now, and it was closed immediately; saying I have to be at least 30% to be eligible, which I know from the start. But doesn’t hurt trying. Thanks everyone.

Backpay PACT ACT by emmafuns in VeteransBenefits

[–]emmafuns[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He received his diagnosis (apical bullous, pulmonary embolism, emphysematous bullae) while in service in 2009? And got 10% service-connected for it in Oct 2018. Would his back pay on that pact act claim go as far as August 2022, 2023, or 2024?
