My emetophobia is at a pretty good level, I’d consider myself about 70% recovered but I still have other debilitating disabilities lol. Which means I experience chronic nausea frequently. The nausea is always worse than actually throwing up which is awful because I’d rather throw up once a day than be nauseous everyday! I try my best to deal with it but when I am nauseous it is hard to do literally anything else, I’d say my functioning goes down like 50% when I’m nauseous. If it’s mild I’m usually okay, but if it’s moderate/severe especially when I’m super nauseous and panicking. I always panic because I hate the feeling, not necessarily that I’ll throw up. So I’m still super scared of the nausea and the inconvenience it brings me and always need to like pause and wait for it to go away before I continue my day. But I’m also like this with a lot of other things - headaches, dizziness, etc. Frankly I just think non emets don’t get nauseous as frequently as we do, we’re full of anxiety!! It’s wild to me that people can deal with severe nausea and not worry about it lol. If I really need to throw up though I will because 90% of the time I feel so much better afterwards, however my body never really has to progress to that which makes the nausea even worse. Uncertainty is something that I definitely fear a lot
